Luck Trailer for the Apple TV Plus Animated Movie Released

Apple Original Films has dropped the official trailer for Skydance Animation’s upcoming fantasy adventure movie, Luck. It is gearing up for its global release on Friday, August 5, exclusively on Apple TV+.

The trailer highlights Sam Greenfield’s (Eva Noblezada) unluckiness which suddenly improves when she discovers a real lucky penny, making her life easier. However, bad luck doesn’t seem to leave Sam as she accidentally loses the lucky penny. This leads her to Bob the Cat, with whom she travels to the Land of Luck. You can check it out below.

Journey Through The Land Of Luck In Apple’s Animated Adventure

Broadway star Noblezada (Yellow Rose, Miss Saigon) plays Sam Greenfield in the animated film, Jane Fonda (Grace & Frankie) plays the CEO of Goodluck, Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg plays the Captain, and Pegg (Ice Age films) plays Bob the Cat. The all-star voice cast also includes Flula Borg (Trolls World Tour) as Jeff the Unicorn, Lil Rel Howery (Free Guy) as Marv, Colin O’Donoghue (Once Upon a Time) as Gerry, John Ratzenberger (Cheers) as Rootie, and Adelynn Spoon (Watchmen) as Hazel.

The official synopsis of the movie reads: “From Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation comes the story of Sam Greenfield, the unluckiest person in the world, who when she stumbles into the never-before-seen Land of Luck, sets out on a quest to bring some good luck home for her best friend. But with humans not allowed, her only chance is teaming up with the magical creatures who live there to do it.”

The magical and adventurous film is directed by Peggy Holmes from a script by Kiel Murray. Skydance Animation’s producers include John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and David Eisenmann.

Luck is one of many animated originals that will be available on Apple TV+ as a result of their partnership with Skydance Animation. Other projects include the animated series The Search for WondLa and the much-awaited fantasy film Spellbound, which will feature music by Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken.
