Sony made fans root for any updates on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 till May 2023, but since then the promotion and marketing has been all over the place. Not a week goes by, when we do not hear something exciting about the game. Just last week we came across the early reviews of the game, which were nothing short of glorious. We saw some critics calling it the best superhero game ever made, while others calling it the most rewarding and coolest game ever made. This doesn’t come as a surprise as Sony has perfected the sequel formula. This was made clear by The Last of Us 2, Miles Morales, God of War: Ragnarok, and Horizon Forbidden West. Anyways, today, we have something really cool for the fans!

Though we already have a 12-Minutes Gameplay trailer and a 2 min story trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, there is always room for more. Just a few hours ago, the CGI trailer for the game was leaked online. Have a look at it yourself!

One thing is pretty clear from this trailer – Venom is a BEAST! This was already assumed by fans as he got a 19 inch statue in the collector’s edition, but in this trailer this is pretty evident. The hulking menace is seen beating the crap out of both our Spider-Men and wrecking havoc all across the city. We also see more of Peter’s suit’s tentacles and the true extent of Miles’ electrocution powers. Although, fans can sense something bad as well as we see both Peter and Miles mourn in separate sequences.
It is pretty clear that both Miles and Peter are struggling with the loss of their father and aunt respectively. It is also pretty evident that Peter is not the only one who’ll be using the Venom suit as we see them going up against someone else as Venom. Since it was earlier confirmed that Eddie Brock will not be in the game, this seems quite interesting. As per our speculation, this is likely to be Harry Osborn. He is likely to respite in the Symbiote as a cure for his illness, transforming himself into the hulking monster. But that is just a theory and nothing such has been confirmed so far.
Of course, Eddie Brock himself is a possibility as the studio might have been planning to surprise the viewers by misleading them. Another possibility is Flash Thompson who has been namedropped in the first game. But realistically, Harry Osborn makes the most sense. Anyways, within 30 seconds of this CGI trailer, Sony managed to hype us beyond measure and we are pretty sure this game is going to be one crazy ride!
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available for purchase on October 20th 2023.
