The game we were all waiting for the entire year is here and most of us are already done with it. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is undoubtedly one of the best superhero games ever made as well as a solid contender for Game of the Year award. However, many fans were a bit dissatisfied with the length of the game as depending on the depending you play on, you can get that platinum within 25-35 hours of playtime. So, fans being fans, obviously want more and are now looking forward to the DLCs and the sequels. Therefore, today we’ll talk about one of the most exciting rumors about the DLC going all around on social media.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5: Daredevil Related DLC Coming Soon?
Fans of Comic Book Movies and superheroes are no stranger to the character of Daredevil. Widely considered to be the best superhero series every made, Netflix’ Daredevil gained immense hype and popularity during its 3 season run. Furthermore, Charlie Cox’ Matt Murdock and Daredevil cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk as well as the upcoming Disney Plus Daredevil series has made him one of the most popular Marvel characters. However, many of you might not be aware that Daredevil was initially introduced as a Spider-Man sidekick before being promoted a main character and the leader of Defenders and Marvel Knights.
So, as it happens, Daredevil is still an inseparable part of everything Spider-Man and hence, we have the map of Hell’s Kitchen in Spider-Man games. That aside, we also used to have Nelson and Murdock’s office in the first two games however, the billboard has been seemingly removed in Spider-Man 2. This missing billboard and closed office definitely hints at something shady being cooked. Adding to that, in the first game Kingpin vowed that this wasn’t over yet and we didn’t see him in the second game at all. So, it is highly likely that Kingpin might return in the DLC which will also mark the Insomniac debut of his archnemesis, Daredevil. The latest rumor about the same comes from r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, where a user posted about TikTok of @a_gamer_thats_cool finding a room containing multiple things that hint at ”The Hand”.
The Hand, as you may be aware, is the iconic ninja group that Daredevil fights against in comics, Netflix Season 2 and Defenders. As noticed by the user, this is a completely random find but it may hint at future content directly. Further, Bryan Intihar (Sr. Creative Director) also teased Daredevil related stuff in an interview after the interviewer pointed out that the ”Nelson & Murdock” sign was removed from the game. Another detail pointed out by fans was that there’s a Union Allied building under construction in Astoria which again hints at a Daredevil plot line.

So, it won’t be stretch if Insomniac’s already working on a Daredevil centric DLC. They have introduced almost all iconic Spider-Man characters in the 3 games and the 3 DLC’s so far, and Daredevil and Spider-Gwen are probably the only ones remaining. You can check out fan reactions to these rumors as well. As for when these potential DLC’s might release, we can’t expect them anytime before 2024.
