Napoleon - Ridley Scott Film's Official Trailer, Release Date, Cast and More

Ridley Scott is no stranger to period dramas. In fact if I call the legendary filmmaker a period drama specialist than I won’t be wrong. Scott has over the year given us such cinematic gems that it in fact it is hard to believe one man can do so much. Whichever, film of his that I’ve seen, I have loved. Except for Blade Runner, because I have my fair share of issues with it. After The Last Duel, Scott is back with another period drama and the character he has chosen for it couldn’t have been better – Napoleon. Guess who is playing the French general? Joaquin Phoenix, one of the finest actors currently working in Hollywood. The film was always on my watchlist for 2023 but I never knew I’d be excited for it. This new found excitement is all credit to the awesome trailer that the film has dropped.

Napoleon First Trailer Looks Amazing!

The trailer for Napoleon was simply amazing. I mean what is with 2023 that it just keeps on giving us brilliant trailers. First Oppenheimer, Barbie, The Killers of the Flower Moon and now Napoleon. I’m aware that the first half of this year was a mediocre one when it comes to films but that is only because the second half of the year is packed with some serious cinema. One of the films that make 2023 so special is Ridley Scott’s Napoleon. The French general deserves a live action adaptation of his life.

And if there is a director to get it right, it has to be Ridley Scott. The new trailer released for the film teases a narrative full of nasty action set pieces, some brilliant dramatic moments, extraordinary scale of the film, phenomenal acting and jaw dropping production design. I’m running out of adjectives. If you haven’t watched already then please check out Napoleon’s trailer. I’m sure you’ll be surprised.
