Saw X is a surprise from the Saw franchise as after a long time we have a Saw film worthy of its name. The tenth installment of the James Wan franchise is also the concluding chapter to the trilogy which started with Jigsaw (2018), followed up by Spiral (2021). The film has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 80%, highest for the franchise. The film doesn’t just have the approval of the critics but also the audience as the film has raked in $71 million at the time of writing. This makes Saw X a financial success as the Kevin Greutert directorial was just made in $13 million. While the film is enjoying box office success now, it looks highly unlikely that the film would continue to thrive against competition like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Movie. So, just at the right time the studio has made the film available for online purchase.
Saw X Gets Imminent Online Release Date!
A new listing from When To Stream reveals the potential online release date of Saw X. The site has evidence to suggest that Lionsgate’s Saw X is set to be released digitally online on October 20th. The studio has not confirmed this date. The outlet clarifies that “[they] haven’t been able to 100% confirm its digital launch yet,” but stated that “[they’re] confident it’ll happen.” We have no update on the film’s physical media and streaming release date. When to Stream listed the film at a $24.99 price tag for digital purchase and $19.99 for rent.
The official synopsis for the film reads, “Hoping for a miraculous cure, John Kramer travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure, only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer uses deranged and ingenious traps to turn the tables on the con artists.” The title might suggest that this is the last of the Saw movies but if you know Hollywood then a franchise never truly dies especially if it is critically and commercially viable.
Saw X is now playing in theatres near you.
