I don’t need to introduce the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to you. They’re a group of superheroes, sorry, turtle superheroes. They were created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The first film of the franchise released in 1990 and ever since they’ve have had six big screen appearances. The last film of the IP released in 2014 and despite being grilled by critics, the film earned half a billion. There was another film that came out last year but it directly went to Netflix. The franchise is loved by children and despite the quality of the films, they’re always a great success… financially. So, a big screen movie was in development and recently the film had its premiere. Looks like the film impressed a lot of critics there as the first reactions for the film are wonderful.

So much awesomeness to take in with one viewing for the newest #TMNT film. I need to re-watch it at least once more. #AnnecyFestival

Ninja Turtles: Teenage Years / TMNT: Mutant Mayhem was so funny. I can't say much more other than the movie is awesome, GREAT references and I can't wait to see it again (finished)

THEY COOKED
Cant really form coherent thought after that, but imagine giving a Twitter shitposter millions to make a hard-PG13 TMNT film (mean it as a compliment). Sent my autistic head into a spiral with how many suprises and nice sketchy animation there is. Cant wait for more pic.twitter.com/YR0fS2pzsA

I've just attended a screening of the film un château solitaire dans le mirroir . A poignant film on the subject of child suicide in Japan. The director gave a speech on the subject before the screening . Wait for this very hard film, but it reminds us that we are never alone. pic.twitter.com/OlJWWEL23Q

Cowabunga! #mutantmayhem is action packed, hilarious, colorful and overall just a ton of fun. Easily one of the best iterations since #TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles 1990 pic.twitter.com/cioNnfx2UT

The fact they showed an unfinished cut of Mutant Mayhem this many months in advance and it’s getting all these great reviews is a sign that Paramount is confident as hell in this movie. Definitely paying off, we may have something VERY special on our hands… #TMNTMovie pic.twitter.com/C3PuPLAPU2
