The story of DCEU (now DCU) in 2022 has been one full of ups and downs. The hype for DC comics inspired movies was rising after The Suicide Squad, The Batman, and Peacemaker and with Henry Cavill’s cameo in Black Adam, the hype reached peak! But unfortunately the year ended with a disaster for them. Fans lost their faith in WB after James Gunn and Peter Safran announced their plans which brought cancellation of many DC project. That aside, their plans didn’t have any space for Henry Cavil, Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck and the already established DCEU. This led to speculations that The Flash will completely reset the DC Universe and honestly, a lot is riding on The Flash 2023 movie starring Ezra Miller. Today we have some interesting new information about the same, so read on!
The Flash: George Clooney As Batman and Nicolas Cage As Superman?
We know there are going to be a lot of cameos and crossover characters in The Flash which include various versions of Flash, Michael Keaton’s Batman, Supergirl, General Zod and more. Since the film deals with multiverse we also expect a lot of surprising and unexpected cameos which just might get fans pumped up for DC after all. As per latest report, the numerous cameos in the film might also include George Clooney’s Batman and Nicolas Cage’s Superman.
The indirect update comes from Grace Randolph, who is a bit of a controversial influencer owing to her opinions. However, the information provided by her rarely ever proves wrong hence making her a highly reliable source. According to her, there’s a Batman and a Superman cameo at the end of The Flash and they are both “retro” versions of the characters, most likely just for fun. These cameos are being said to involve big name actors and which doesn’t mean Henry Cavill or Christian Bale. So, hold your train of thoughts right there.

As per previously leaked information and the fans, these cameos will instead feature George Clooney and Nicolas Cage. Clooney as you may know, portrayed Batman in arguably the worst Batman film of all time – Batman & Robin. As for Nicolas Cage, you may have heard of a project called Superman Lives which was later cancelled and never took place. We did, however, see a documentary about the same by Jon Schnepp called, “The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?” So, if these rumors are true we might finally see Nick Cage don Man of Steel’s cape after all, even if just for fun purposes!
The Flash is all set to release worldwide in theatres on 16th June 2023.
