Amazon’s prestigious epic fantasy drama The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has released an exclusive sneak peek an hour ago. The show which almost has a budget of $450million for the first season itself, has already had a small teaser out. The sneak peak released is exclusive for the Amazon Prime members, but the clip is also posted on Youtube by a fan, which you can check out below.

At the end of the sneak peek is a release date for the new teaser next week on July 14. Seems like Amazon is building the hype for the show through promo material like these before the series is set to release this year on September 2. The sneak peek shows a meteorite pushing past Arda’s horizons to land on Middle-earth, with characters like Elrond, Gil-galad, Celebrimbor, the Dwarves, and even the new Harfoots (predecessors/ancestors of Hobbits) watching in amazement and concern. The sneak peek also reveals the introduction of Ents in the second age and Arondir, a Silvan Elf, holding hands with the human healer Bronwyn. Their love, much like Aragon and Arwen’s from the original Lord of the Rings trilogy, is forbidden.
As the series takes place in the second-age, Elrond and Galadriel were set to appear while none of the other characters from the Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit are going to make an appearance as they all inhabited the middle Earth in third age and Rings of Power is going to take place a few thousand years before those events in the second age.
