The Sandman in based on Neil Gaimen’s DC comics that are set in the living world where Sandman – Master of Dreams gives shape to our deepest fears and fantasies. The official poster of the show is above. However, once the Dream goes missing for a century, his absence sets off a chain of events that will change both the dreaming and waking world. The Sandman is a rich, character-driven blend of myth and dark fantasy woven together over the course of 10 epic chapters following Dream’s many adventures. The Netflix show has an enormously talented cast including, Tom Sturridge leading the pack as Sandman alongside Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer Morningstar, Vivienne Acheampong, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, Jenna Coleman, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Mason Alexander Park and David Thewlis.
Considering the show was debuting in the first week of the next month it was quite odd that we hadn’t gotten a trailer for it yet. We simply had an announcement video of the series but nothing more. However, as most studios, Netflix and Warner Bros. were simply waiting for the right time to reveal the trailer for the show. The SDCC has returned after almost 3 years and WB wants to make it worth the fan’s dream. Let’s take al look.
The Sandman Trailer Is True To Its Comic Book Counterpart?
San Diego Comic Con has become a place for revealing everything the studio has been working on the past last year. For someone who wasn’t interested in any parts of the story or comics of the show, the trailer was absolutely spectacular. The grim grainy imagery around the Sandman while a variation of shots featuring each actor from the phenomenal cast. The way the entire show looks be designed has me intrigued and can’t wait to see.
The trailer talks a lot but even then it doesn’t give out any major plot happenings. The visuals are extremely powerful that rendered me awestricken. Even if the trailer didn’t arrive soon it was worth the wait as this looks like a world which we haven’t seen yet. The show just made my list to watch in 2022.
