Thor: Love and Thunder social media embargo officially lifted last week and the first reactions were out, which you can check right here. The reactions and short reviews were overwhelmingly positive with only good things to say about the film. Thor is all set to return for his 4th solo film 5 years after Thor: Ragnarok, making him the only MCU character to have a 4th solo film. It was quite expected though, as Taika Watiti’s reinvention of Thor in Ragnarok led to a new exciting Thor arc which continued in Avengers 3 and 4. Even so, it left fans rooting for more and that is precisely why he is back and from the looks of it he is here to stay. Major spoilers for th movie follow below, so read with caution.
Zeus Hercules Post Credit Sets up Thor 5
A few days ago, In an interview, Hemsworth stated that he’d be happy to keep on working with Taika who keeps reinventing Thor. Now from the looks of it, Chris Hemsworth will surely return for Thor 5. Last week, we shared a Thor 4 leak post where we told you about the full plot, major deaths, and the post-credit scenes. In one of those post-credit scenes, Thor 5 is set up. Here is what happens.
As you may know, Russell Crowe’s Zeus is all set to make an appearance in Love and Thunder. According to the plot leaks, Thor meets Jane and Valkyrie and they plan to stop Gorr. Hence, they visit the Gods of Olympus to try and warn Zeus but it as it turns out, Zeus is kind of evil and crazy. So they end up fighting him and Valkyrie ends up stealing lightning from Zeus at the end of that fight. Obviously, this leaves him humiliated and pissed off at Thor and co.
So, in the mid-credits scene, the frustrated and angry Zeus summons his son Hercules, and orders him to go after Thor, hence setting up Thor 5. It seems like these two Demi-Gods, Thor and Hercules, from Norse and Greek mythology will go up against each other in Thor 5. If you are a comic reader, you know Hercules and Thor will later on become friends and have each other’s back.
Who Portrays Hercules in Thor: Love and Thunder?
As per the leaks (Giant Freaking Robot), actor Brett Goldstein plays the role of Hercules in Thor: Love and Thunder post-credit scenes. So, it is pretty obvious that Brett Goldstein will return to play Hercules in Thor 5 and other future MCU project. Brett Goldstein is an English actor, comedian and writer, who is best known for writing and starring in the Apple TV+ sports comedy series Ted Lasso. He went on to receive the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for hi role in Ted Lasso.
The after-credits scene or the second post-credit scene shows Heimdall welcoming Jane to Valhalla, to bask in her triumph and feast with the other Gods. Also, Heimdall apparently has a son who will is summoned by Thor on Earth and might be a part of Thor’s future adventures.
