Transformers Rise of the Beasts New Trailer Looks Spectacular

It seems like the Michael Bay Transformers era has ended, for good. The Transformers franchise has had yet another reboot but this time I think the studio has fixed the long lasting problem with the Transformers films- the director. As Paramount has replaced Bay as the director this reboot actually makes sense as now we will finally get to see a Transformers film that is different and unique. Paramount has also taken the correct decision of passing the baton to Steven Caple Jr. who directed Creed II and directed it very well. While the new film is a reboot, it is a direct sequel to 2018’s Bumblebee. The reboot stars Pete Davidson, Anthony Ramos, Peter Cullen, Ron Periman, Dominique Fishback, Tobe Nwigwe, and Lauren Velez.

The premise of the reboot is, “During the 1990s, the Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons join the existing battle on Earth between Autobots and Decepticons.” The first trailer for the film was released in December 2022 and after a long time there was something worth watching in the Transformers franchise. Now, at CinemaCon 2023 Paramount Pictures have showcased the new trailer for the reboot. Also, as the film is releasing in two months, the trailer has also been released online and it is very much exciting.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ Trailer Reveals New Plot Points!

The trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is almost flooded with action sequences. There are a lot of exciting visuals in the trailer. We see Anthony Ramos who is now the human face of the franchise. He has filled in for Shia LaBeouf and Mark Walberg. We also get a look at Unicron, the villainous entity that the Transformers are up against this time. The events of the film are taking place in 1994 as the trailer reveals. Optimus Prime looks as slick and cool as he can be. Peter Cullen’s voice for Prime is still unbeatable. We see many more Transformers, most importantly, Bumblebee is back.

The film is promising us an action filled ride, with a lot of emotional quotient rooted in these characters. A Transformers film will always be a CGI heavy venture, however, there is always a quality in the CGI of the transformers films that make them so visually appealing. However, I can’t say the same thing about this film as I find the effects simply average. There is nothing extraordinary about them. I think Avatar: The Way of Water has really spoiled VFX for me. Although, I do hope that the film’s effects are sharpened and improved before release.
