If you are unaware, Upload is an American science fiction comedy-drama television series created by Greg Daniels. The first season premiered on May 2020, on Amazon Prime Video and was instantly renewed for a second season which debuted in March 2022. Good news is that the show is all set to return for a third season next month and fans are pretty excited for it. So, here is all you need to know about Upload Season 3 from trailer and release date, to the cast and plot.
When is Upload Season 3 Releasing?
As it happens, the first trailer for the season is now out and you can watch it above. The trailer begins with Nathan and Nora happily together before revealing that it has been 26 days since Nathan’s download. This causes some confusion and a little of bit of concern with others. We also get a glimpse of Freeyond’s upload process. Freeyond’s method makes us believe they don’t have anyone’s best interest at heart except their own. It seems like a version of the procedure that somehow manages to feel even more colder and more distant than usual.
The third season for the series was confirmed on May 2022 and is all set to premiere on October 20, 2023. This season will consist of 8 episodes which is one more than season 2 and two episodes less than season 1. After a 2 episode premiere on October 20, the series will debut 2 episodes every week and end with a 2 episode finale on November 10.
Season 3 Cast and Plot
Upload Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger when Nathan was downloaded into a clone body grown on Ingrid’s instructions. Season 3 will likely pick up immediately with Nathan and Nora on a race against the clock to save Natahn before it’s too late. It’ll also be largely political and away from Lakeview as the gang decides what to do next as they intend to take down Freeyond. Speaking to TheWrap, Owen Daniels said. “I have to say that the specific details of the mystery plot are something that we worked out over the course of a lot of discussions and planting of clues and different possibilities. I don’t think we’re at the complete end of the mystery, I will just say. In hopeful optimism of a season three, I’m plotting more stuff now with some writers.”
Meanwhile, Andy Allo, who plays Nora Antony said, “I think I’d want to see Nora become really radicalised in a way and wanting to take down the whole thing. I want some action, go real rebel mode and be like, ‘Rah, let’s burn it all down’.” So, there are a bunch of directions where the season can go but we shouldn’t expect things to get too on-the-nose with politics this season. Upload Season 3 has the following cast:
