Wednesday Season 2 - Netflix Accidentally Teases The Addams Family Mansion

The Addams Family mansion may appear in Wednesday Season 2, and this tease hasn’t failed to intrigue the fans. This mansion was the primary setting for the previous live-action adaptations of the family, including the TV show The Addams Family and two other popular 90s films. The family mansion was located in New Jersey to honor the Addams Family creator and Jersey resident, Charles Addams. Even though Netflix confirmed that Wednesday and her family reside in New Jersey, they never showed the spooky mansion. Season one was set in Jericho, Vermont, and primarily Nevermore Academy.

Wednesday Season 2 Teases the Addams Family Mansion

Netflix confirmed that Wednesday Season 2 is coming, but we don’t know when. Even though every detail is vague, we now have a great hint. Thanks to costume designer Colleen Atwood. While discussing the costumes, she teased that the family mansion would be involved in the story. Atwood said, “It’ll be really fun to see what Morticia does when she’s, you know, out of the dress and into around-the-house looks.” This means season 2 won’t be limited to only Jericho and Nevermore Academy.

Since the Addams Family mansion is one of the significant elements of every adaptation, it was surprising that we didn’t get to see it in Season 1. Netflix has perhaps offered a bigger budget for this new season, so featuring the mansion was at the top of the list in case the series continued. With this new tease, it is confirmed that we will see a new set. And, we will also witness new sides of the characters. Keeping the setting limited to Nevermore Academy would make it hackneyed. By featuring this new set, the series is also making space for new characters.
