Just 109 days are left before DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom debuts in theatres in December. Despite the release date being so close, we haven’t gotten any promotional footage (except for an exclusive bit of footage for fans during Warner Bros.’ presentation at CinemaCon 2023), not even the official looks of our main characters. Last month we got Jason Momoa’s first look via a merch toy which showed the first promotional art of Aquaman. The Aquaman vs. Black Manta Battle Set from Spin Master revealed Momoa’s Aquaman with his dashing Atlantean trident at the upper right corner of the box. So, what about Amber Heard? Will we ever get the controversial actress’ first look? At least from a merch toy? Yes, that day is today. Check out the Mera’s first look below:
Aquaman 2: Amber Heard As Mera
An account called @TaurooAldebaran on X (previously known as Twitter) found new toys for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom that showcase a new glimpse of Amber Heard’s Mera design from the sequel. Mera’s new suit is all the same shade of blue, with some new silver accents on her forearms. Check out her look below:
This is a similar costume to Aquaman (2018), except for the varying shades of blue on her scales but the loss of color could be the simplistic styling of the toy in question. As for Aquaman, he appeared in his classic colors with another all black suit which will come into play at some point in the sequel. Check out his look below:
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is slated to release in theatres on 20th December 2023.
