Batman 2, The Flash, Shazam 2, Aquaman 2, Black Adam Everything Revealed by DC at CinemaCon 2022

DC Live action seems to be bit of a mess and most of us have no clue as to what WB is trying to do since some time . Since Man of Steel’s release, it was thought that a cinematic universe much like MCU will be built. But ever since the release of non DCEU The Joker (2019), things have been complicated and hard to understand. Apart from Wonder Woman, we haven’t seen any of the Justice League members since 2018’s Aquaman. Batman and Superman have been missing from 4 years. Well, all that is about to change with this year’s The Flash which will mark the end for some DCEU characters and will breathe new life into others. Recently, at CineCon 2022, WB revealed some major details about the upcoming DC films and here’s a brief about each of them.

Black Adam Trailer Revealed

Black Adam, The Flash, and Aquaman Teasers To Debut Tomorrow Says The Rock

In the newly revealed footage, Johnson’s Black Adam is shown as a slave while a voice-over states “I was a slave until I died. Then I was reborn as a god. I kneel before no one.” This is followed by some cool action scenes and the trailer ends with Black Adam stating “There are heroes and there are villains, and heroes don’t kill people. Well, I do.” The trailer was defined as being quite dark and impactful much like the Doctor Savannah scene from Shazam 2019. Hopes are high for this film as Black Adam is one of the most popular characters in the DC universe, and this film will set the tone for Shazam 2: Fury of Gods as well.

Shazam 2: Fury of Gods Reveals Wonder Woman In New Trailer

Wonder Woman was seen in newly revealed trailer from Shazam!: Fury of the Gods, at CinemaCon 2022. It showed Asher Angel’s Billy Batson having a dream about Wonder Woman wanting to date him. That aside, he also speaks to Helen Mirren’s villainous character later and in a Deadpool-like way, mentions that he’s seen all the Fast & Furious movies before his whole family shows up. The film will showcase Shazam battling alongside his adopted family against highly powerful new villains, played by Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Plot Details Revealed

Fandango’s Erik Davis revealed Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom showcased will see Jason Mamoa’s hero forced to reluctantly team up with his brother, King Orm to take down Black Manta. Apparently, Black Manta has grown much stronger and more dangerous since the first film. Also, Black Manta will have a new ship in the film and has probably been taken over by some dark energy which led to a sudden surge in his power. So, much so that two of the strongest underwater beings have to team up to defeat him.

The Flash Reveals Supergirl, Michael Keaton’s Batman and General Zod

The newly revealed footage by DC included a preview of Sasha Calle’s Supergirl and Michael Shannon’s comeback as General Zod. It also consisted of some cool shots of several Batsuits and Michael Keaton’s Batmobile. The trailer unfortunately didn’t feature any shots of Ben Affleck’s Batman, who is all set to appear one last time in The Flash. The trailer reportedly ends with Keaton’s classic quote taken from 1989’s Batman, asking Barry Allen “You wanna get nuts? Let’s get nuts!” This trailer has created immense hype among fans around this potentially chaotic and mind-bending film.

The Batman 2 Officially Announced

It’s safe to say that The Batman 2022 was the most successful DC film in a few years and led the way to multiple spin offs. Now, as fans predicted, a sequel (let’s call it The Batman 2) has officially been announced by WB at their CinemaCon 2022 panel and everyone is returning. They said, “Matt took one of our most iconic and beloved superheroes and delivered a fresh. Matt Reeves, Rob Pattinson and the entire team will be taking audiences back to Gotham with The Batman 2.” While it is currently not a part of DCEU, that might change in The Flash.

Bonus – Batgirl 2022 Might Head to Theatres

According to a recent report from the newsletter Puck, Warner Bros. is currently debating whether to release their upcoming film Batgirl in theaters or not. The film stars Leslie Grace as she portrays the role of Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon. It will feature J.K.
