Blue Beetle Post Credit Scene Explained!

When DC was still DCEU they had big plans to introduce lesser known superheroes into their cinematic universe as well like Batgirl or Blue Beetle. We all are aware of what happened to Batgirl – it was not released anywhere and was scrapped. However, surprisingly Blue Beetle made the cut for the studio as Warner Bros. decided to give the superhero flick a theatrical release. This will be DC’s second last film of the year as Aquaman 2 is scheduled for a December release. However, just like other recent DC films, audiences have the same beef with Blue Beetle – whether this film will be canon once James Gunn’s DCU begins or will it not matter at all. However, if reports are to be believed then the post credit scenes of the film will hint where Blue Beetle’s might go.

Where Will Blue Beetle Story Go Further? Post Credits Explained

As I’d covered earlier, there are two post credit scenes in the Blue Beetle film. One comes after the main credits while the other after the remaining credits are done. The mid credit scene takes us back to the laboratory of Ted Kord which was also his hideout. In the lab, one of the machines picks up a transmission from an unknown source. It says that Ted Kord is still alive. This mid-credit scene was safe because it didn’t try to commit to a future storyline or even reveal a future plot. That’s because we know the ‘Blue Beetle’ franchise may or may not be part of James Gunn’s DCU reboot.

The post credit scene shows the same cartoon that Uncle Rudy played. While the mid credit scene is there to clue us in as to where this story might but the post credit scene is actually a joke on the audience who sat through all the credits. It isn’t very important, so fans may want to skip it but it is an entertaining video for those who may have Mexican roots. There is no guarantee of a sequel but it is good know that if it happens there is more to this story.

Blue Beetle is scheduled to be released in theatres near you on August 18, 2023.
