The Flash Movie Reveals A New Logo, Ezra Miller To Be Replaced?

Hey guys, do you remember the Flash movie? Yeah, the one that stars Ezra Miller. Yeah, the same guy who committed multiple felonies. Yes, the same guy people were afraid who was going to to turn in serial killer. You remember him? Or at least the movie? If you do then good. So, yeah that movie is not cancelled, it is going to be released, even if the lead star is at risk of being declared a criminal but for some reason Batgirl faced the axe. Well done, Warner Bros. Context aside, in August Warner Bros. took the decision that the Flash movie would go on as Ezra Miller released a statement about regretting his actions and promising to working on his mental health.

The Flash was always going to be important for the DCEU as it was supposed to result into some kind of soft reboot that will allow Warner Bros. to put a carpet on their past mistakes (2017’s Justice League) and start anew where they churn out the weed but are still able to use the parts that work (Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa as Aquaman). The movie faced a lot of issues for obvious reasons but after Warner Bros. decided to go on with the film, its release date was carved in stone. As we are trudging towards that release date just as an update, Warner Bros. has released a new poster for the film.

Does The New Flash Logo Signify Something?

The picture above is the logo of The Flash Movie. Now there are two ways you can look at this happening. One: Its just a logo update for a film that is supposed to release in seven months. However, if you’re here you’re not a normal person who can just look past things. You’re cinephile with an obsessive need to find meaning in the smallest of things and that brings me to the second possibility: The new logo was not announced with some over the top event rather it slowly creeped up on us as Warner Bros. and the Flash movie’s social media handles updated their profile pictures.

This new logo might be a visual metaphor of the shake-up at DC after Peter Safran and James Gunn have taken over. This logo is significantly different than the one that was released at the beginning of filming in 2021. The first logo’s background had a more texturized look which was inspired from the hero’s suit. The logo also had lightning lighting up the background as it flashed from The Flash’s emblem at the logo’s center. As you can see the new logo is relatively much simpler as it changes color from dark to red as we go closer to the film’s title.

Also, it has a simple plain background with the only information being the film’s title, a release date and a DC logo at the center. Check out the old logo:

I also have a feeling this means that Ezra Miller may not stay as Flash for long. As the movie was supposed to replace a lot of things and characters, I thing the Flash might be one of those as well. They may replace Ezra Miller with some new actor at the end of the film and make sense out of it. This way they get to do what they want but they’ll also free themselves from unwanted controversy. I don’t thin Gunn and Safran are people who appreciate such behavior so it might their decision. While Ezra Miller stays put for now but I don’t think so for long.

Andres Muschietti (IT) will helm The Flash, and Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey, Batgirl) will pen the story. Additionally, it will feature the Bruce Wayne/Batman characters played by Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, as well as Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdu as Nora Allen, Ian Loh as a young Barry Allen, and Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Rudy Mancuso in unspecified roles.

The Flash is slated for a theatrical release on June 23, 2023.
