It is that day finally, today is the Super Bowl LVII, the match between Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. However, as big as the Super Bowl maybe, this is not a sports website, so why is this game so important for us that we’re covering it? Well, as it turns out when the biggest sports event in the US is happening a lot of people especially from the media industry are interested to get some benefit out of it. Marvel has been doing this for a long time. However, Warner Bros. who were once a frequent collaborator with the sporting event has stopped their collaboration for over 15 years now. However, the infamous Hollywood studio has returned and plans to release their newest and most controversial film’s trailer at the game. Well, of course I’m talking about The Flash. We have new footage from the film almost after three years.
The Flash Trailer Is Awesome!
The Flash’s trailer establishes its premise really quickly. It is about Barry Allen trying to go back to an universe where he can save his mother. We instantly see two Flashes one is our protagonist and the other is him from this altered timeline. We also get our first look at Ben Affleck’s Batman after almost two years. The last we saw him was in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. We also finally see Michael Keaton’s Batman and one has to say he has still got it. He is once again in his iconic Batman costume. We see him in his full glory.
We see both the Batmen work together. There is apparently no Superman in this altered reality. Instead there is a Supergirl and unlike our Kal-El she is not the symbol of hope we’re used to. Another returning character from the Snyderverse is Zod – the Superman villain. We’ll see him for the first time again after Man of Steel, although he did have a brief cameo in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. Overall The Flash trailer looks fantastic and despite being 3 minutes long it doesn’t reveal too much of its plot. Talking about the plot, it does confirm that the plot leaks we brought you guys a few weeks back are 100% percent true. You can check them out here, if you are into that stuff.

Andres Muschietti (IT) will helm The Flash, and Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey, Batgirl) will pen the story. Additionally, it will feature the Bruce Wayne/Batman characters played by Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, as well as Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdu as Nora Allen, Ian Loh as a young Barry Allen, and Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Rudy Mancuso in unspecified roles. The Flash is slated for a theatrical release on June 23, 2023.
