Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania – Mid Credit Scene Leaked, Watch Here

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was set to be Marvel’s another outstanding offering to the fans. Made on a budget of over $200 million, the film failed to deliver even mediocre entertainment as the venture became the second rotten film on Rotten Tomatoes for Marvel in a span of six months. However, having the Marvel tag on it, the threequel still managed to gross $474.5 million worldwide. Even though on paper, it appears as if the film has generated a profit, if we have to calculate the total costs versus the total revenue, then my bet would be that the margin of profit is either extremely slim or none at all. After the film failed to impress, anyone in theatres, it is debuting on House of Mouse’s streaming platform- Disney+ and in that process has finally managed to break one MCU record.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania- New Record Explained!

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Reviews Roundup - Not Good

Ever since the pandemic, Marvel has found a new system to distribute their film. It is quite simple. After completing a certain amount of time in the theatres (average estimate 45 days) the film debuts on their new streaming platform. This is similar to a lot of other studios’ strategy. Mostly, studios hold back the release of movies that are doing well theatrically and the duds are released sooner. However, despite its semi-average box office performance, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has the biggest window between its theatrical and streaming release.

Leaving behind the previous record holder- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever with 82 days.  The reason for this long window is as of now unclear as last summer Marvel was very strict with Multiverse of Madness where despite its good box office collection, the studio decided to release the film on Disney+ so soon.

Check out the window between theatrical and streaming release dates of past Marvel films here:

  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings – 70 days
  • Eternals – 68 days
  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – 47 days (record low)
  • Thor: Love and Thunder – 62 days
  • Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – 82 days
  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania – 89 days

The core cast of the Ant-Man franchise including Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas are returning. Along with these regulars, the supporting cast of the film has added Kathryn Newton, Jonathan Majors, Bill Murray and Michelle Pfeiffer.
