Marvel Cinematic Universe is a force to be reckoned with and one thing which has made MCU so big is its shared universe crossovers and references. We see some or the other references to the greater Marvel universe in every project of MCU and that is how it has been since 2008’s Iron Man. One of the connecting ties of MCU has been Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury as he brought all these characters who we love together. Well, once again he’s done that but this time not as Nick Fury but himself.
In an interview with Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Samuel L. Jackson spilled some beans about Ant-Man 3. First of all, he confirmed that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was filmed at the same London production. Secondly, this was the same time when Captain Marvel 2 and Secret Invasion were also being filmed and Jackson said he had to run a lot between these productions.
It used to take a while to make a movie. It still kind of does, but people make about two or three of them at the same time. In the Marvel universe, it’s crazy. When I was in London just now, there was Ant-Man and Captain Marvel 2 was happening and we were getting ready to do Secret Invasion. So it was like three Marvel movies on one lot. So I was kinda running around from place to place.
So, although this doesn’t confirm anything, its quite possible that he was involved in all three projects. He mentioned them all in his hectic schedule and it won’t be anything surprising given that Nick Fury has always been an integral part of the MCU. A few days ago, he also confirmed that War Machine aka Rhodey portayed by Don Cheadle is all set to appear in Secret Invasion.
