Avengers: Endgame was a cinematic achievement. I haven’t seen a global event as big as this unfold in front of my eyes. No movie since then has had such massive hype to it. It might not be the Highest Grossing Film but it is certainly the Most Hyped Film ever. Apart from offering a satisfying conclusion to the Infinity saga, the film also had the huge job of bringing many characters arcs full circle. Marvel is struggling now but at that time the studio was at its peak. A peak it will possibly never surpass. Current Marvel films still pay homage and has references to the Infinity saga. However, it appears as if we haven’t seen some part of the film which took place between the lines. A new description has surfaced which reveals Captain America’s unreleased scene from Endgame where he gets angry.
Avengers: Endgame – Captain America Gets Angry In Unreleased Scene!
Marvel has released a new book called, Look Out For The Little Guy! (the same one seen in Ant-Man: Quantumania that’s written by Scott Lang himself). In the book, Scott reveals a new conversation between him and Captain America at the time of Endgame where the iconic hero gets a little angry. This is in relation to the scene where Scott Lang returns from the Quantum Realm and visits the Avengers Compound. Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff updates the size-changing hero on the events that have taken place during his absence.
The book has some additional lines than the ones in the film. One of those come up when Scott labels the Blipped population as “missing people.” Chris Evans’ hero quickly interjects, and, as described by the book, “[Steve’s] rage uncharacteristically [gets] the better of him.” Steve Rogers then makes the stakes very clear to Scott: “That maniac took out half of all life. Not just on Earth. In the universe.” This emotional moments adds depth to Steve’s character even if it only lasts for a few seconds.
As the conversation deepens, we also understand that Cap is also frustrated that Thanos was able to get to Doctor Strange’s Time Stone. At the time of this conversation, none of the heroes knew it was part of the sorcerer’s plan from the start. Endgame establishes that the Blip was hard on Steve as after the snap, Rogers doesn’t lead the Avengers or fight crime but rather joins a support group and mourns with people that lost their loved ones. He tries to dedicate his time to heal others but never himself.
Avengers: Endgame is available for streaming on Disney+.
