Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics and a direct sequel to Black Panther (2018). Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the 30th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As you might know, unfortunately we lost T’Challa actor Chadwick Boseman to cancer and Marvel Studios decided to honor him by not recasting him. So instead, this film is going to be based on Shuri, W’Kabi, M’Baku, Okoye and the new entrant Ironheart. But Ironheart isn’t the only new entrant, as we’ll also get to see one of the first Marvel Comics character Namor, The Sub-Mariner! As it happens we now have some in depth look at the film thanks to all the leaks post D23 2022.
Watch Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever Leaked Clip from D23 Here
Marvel made it difficult to breathe at this years SDCC and D23 2022 as it poured in a bucket lot of information on the fans including Phase 5 and Phase 6 plans. While most of the information is public, certain trailers and footages were only showcased to the D23 audience and Black Panther 2’s clip and extended trailer was one of them. Following is an unclean footage of the same, but rest assured that we’ll update it as some cleaner footage arrives. So have a look and enjoy.
At the beginning of the clip, we see Queen Ramonda arrive at the UN with a group of men with her. A US representative is seen complaining about the fact that Wakanda has not shared resources, specially vibranium. A French representative also says that vibranium has the potential to be a weapon of mass destruction and it must be shared for the sake of global security. However, Ramonda makes it very clear that it is their policy to never trade vibranium under any circumstances. She says that it isn’t just about the danger of vibranium but also about dangerous outsiders using the powerful metal.
Cut to a scene in a Wakandan lab, French soldiers are seen invading the lab and demanding the location of weapons while threatening the scientists with force. We then see one of the scientists activating a wall of vibranium but as it light ups there are no vibranium weapons inside. Instead there is a group of Dora Milaje and one of the scientists reveal herself to be Aneka, and then they all quickly defeat the soldiers in a deft action sequence. However, we learn that this is actually a flashback and cut back to Queen Ramonda as she addresses the room.
“You perform civility here, but we know what you whisper in your halls of leadership and in your military facilities. The king is dead. The Black Panther is gone. They have lost their protector,” she says furiously. The door to the room opens as Dora Milaje bring in the group of soldiers while forcing them to kneel in the room. Queen then wishes the room luck and leaves them with the proof of their treachery. This is the end of the clip and post that, the audience get a look at an extended trailer for Black Panther 2 with a bunch of extra Tenoch Huerta‘s Namor scenes. Namor is seemingly upset that Wakanda has revealed themselves to the world, and fears that it potentially endangers his world as well. The trailer ends with a new character donning the Black Panther mantle while Ramonda is heard saying, “Show them who we are.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is all set to release in theatres on 11 November 2022. You can read the full leaked plot of the film right here.
