As you may know, even though Steve Rogers has retired, The Captain America mantle has now been filled by Sam Wilson. The mantle of Captain America is an undying symbol of hope and hence has to continuously serve this Brave New World. So, MCU’s first Sam Wilson Captain America film is being directed by Julius Onah and has been penned down by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. The film will see the return of Anthony Mackie as Cap, Liv Taylor as Betty, Harrison Ford as Thunderbolt Ross aka Red Hulk, and a potential cameo from Sebastian Stan as Bucky. But it seems like they won’t be the only returning characters!
She-Hulk to Appear in Captain America 4: Brave New World
As per reports, Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk is all set to reprise her role in Captain America 4. Although, She-Hulk has become the butt of joke for MCU fans and the reason for MCU’s rapid downfall, She-Hulk as a character was decent and will continue to appear in future. This will also mark She-Hulk’s big screen debut for the first time in Marvel’s history. This was first reported by popular albeit controversial Youtuber Grace Randolph a few days ago, and later confirmed by many other sources as well.

As for the nature of this cameo/appearance, it is currently unknown but it is pretty clear MCU is trying to set up a larger Hulk narrative. Inclusion of Thunderbolt Ross, Betty Ross, and now She-Hulk strongly hints at a new Hulk project set up. This new Hulk project will most likely see the introduction of Red Hulk as well as Hulk’s Son Skaar, who was teased in She-Hulk. If that’s the case, this is a really good news for Hulk fans as they have been rooting to see more of his adventures in a Hulk centric project.
As for Red Hulk, Thunderbolt Ross has been in MCU since the very beginning but so far, we haven’t seen him turn into Red Hulk. But with the recent MCU expansion, it is now more likelier than ever. Furthermore, Skaar was introduced by Hulk at the very end of She-Hulk and was played by young actor Wil Deusner. As of now, he has only been seen in his Hulk form and not in his human form, so the cast might as well be changes for this specualted Hulk project.
Talking about Captain America 4, we’ll see the introduction of a few new characters well including Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres / Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns / Leader, and Shira Haas as Sabra. Also, Xosha Roquemore and Seth Rollins have been cast in undisclosed roles. Nit much is known about the plot, but the wider premises is that we’ll “explore Sam Wilson’s journey stepping up to be the leader as Captain America.”
Captain America 4: Brave New World is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 26, 2024 and will be part of Phase Five of the MCU.
