The Superhero genre which dominated the past decade, has been the most mediocre and unimpressive one since past 2 years. As for Marvel, granted we do get a few pleasant surprises every now and then but overall its crumbling and is focusing too much on quantity than quality. With over 32 projects lined up in the next 3.5 years, you can be damn well sure that most of them will be either bad or mediocre, just like Phase 4 was. However, one of the productions we all still believe in, is the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again and for the fans of Netflix’ Daredevil, we have some incredible news as well as one bad news!

Daredevil: Born Again To Start Filing Next Month for 10 Months

Daredevil Born Again Poster Will Be TV-MA aka R Rated! Hope Exists for Marvel Afterall!

As you may or may not know, Daredevil: Born Again will be the first full length series by Marvel Studios and will feature 18 episodes. As per sources, Born Again will kick off filming on February 27, 2023, in New York City and will take almost 10 months to officially wrap the filming. The expected end date for filming is December 15, 2023 and that makes this one of the longest filming schedule in the history of not just Marvel Television but also Marvel Studios. Also, I think from the filming schedule it is pretty clear that the show will be released towards the second half of 2024, even though its slate says Spring 2024.

Another thing is that a few days ago it was basically confirmed by the producers that Daredevil: Born Again will not be TV-MA. They clearly stated that Daredevil has never been a mature and bloody character and therefore, the Disney take on the character will be much lighter and less violent than Netflix. So, for some fans this is a bad news as the mature content is what they loved about the Netflix’ Daredevil series. For others, however, this is a good news as now he’ll be able to fit into the world of MCU much easily and potentially be a part of Spider-Man 4. The tone of the series can be expected to be exactly like how Marvel’s Echo is going to be. Echo will be released later this year and Daredevil; Born Again will continue the story of Echo as well.

As for the cast of the series, aside from Charlie Cox, the returning cast of the series include Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, and Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez aka Echo. The new cast includes Michael Gandolfini, Colin Woodell, Margarita Levieva, and Sandrine Holt in unrevealed roles. As for Deborah Ann Woll’s return as Karen Page, nothing has been officially confirmed yet but she has a major role to play in the Born Again storyline. So, being as integral as she was in the comics, it is expected that we’ll surely see Karen Page but we are not sure if Deborah will return or not.

So, yeah that is pretty much all we know about the series and as soon as we get more information, we’ll be back to share it with you! Do you think Daredevil: Born Again not being TV-MA is a good thing? Let us know in the comments below!
