Deadpool 3 will have many superheroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Fox Universe, and more. The upcoming DP film is the only Marvel Studios movie coming out in 2024. It will be headlined by Ryan Reynold’s Wade Wilson and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, however, the ensemble doesn’t end there, there is more. Here is a list of every superhero confirmed to be coming back for Deadpool 3, while others may be announced later in theatres on July 26, 2024.
Deadpool
Ryan Reynold returns as Deadpool for his third instalment in the franchise. Wade Wilson’s return will be a delight for the viewers to see, especially as the Merc with a Mouth will be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. DP 3 will be a huge crossover event with several heroes, mutants, and perhaps a Dazzler, however, Reynolds narrating all of it will be the core of the movie.
Wolverine
Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is one of the most iconic superhero characters in Hollywood history. Having been playing Wolverine for over two decades, the character returns in DP 3 in a striking suit to either team up, fight, or both with Wade Wilson.
Elektra
Indicating the notion that several former heroes within the X-Men universe will appear is Elektra joining Deadpool 3. Jennifer Garner previously collaborated with director Shawn Levy and Reynolds on The Adam Project. Her character will possibly be back in the movie like Wolverine, seemingly plucked out of a timeline to help the greater cause or destroy it.
Negasonic Teenage Warhead
Brianna Hildebrand’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead is known for her appearance in the previous films of the franchise. Her character was last seen assisting DP with Cable’s time travel machine in the second film. In Deadpool 2, her girlfriend Yukio was introduced. She will likely play another significant part that could start with Multiverse repercussions because of Deadpool’s time-traveling seen in Deadpool 2.
Yukio
In the upcoming Deadpool 3, Shioli Kutsuna is set to reprise her role as Yukio. Her character was introduced in Deadpool 2 as a mutant ninja and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend. Fans would love to know more about the couple’s relationship as it will have been over five years since Deadpool 2. However, we don’t know how much time has passed within the DP story.
Colossus
Colossus is a great part of the first two films. His presence would have been missed had he not come back in the upcoming film. Stefan Kapičić’s Colossus appeared in both Deadpool and DP 2, playing a comedic version of X-Men. His character plays Deadpool’s closest link to the X-Men and in DP 3 he could guide Wade into finding a team of mutants.
Dogpool
Recently, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds confirmed that Dogpool would appear in Deadpool 3. He is an important member of the Deadpool Corps in the comics with the capability to heal himself, making his character hard to kill like Wade Wilson. Based on Reynold’s post, it seems like Dogpool will be female in the MCU, an alteration from the comic adaptations.
Deadpool 3 releases in theaters on July 26, 2024.
