Deadpool Deleted Scene From Marvel's Shang Chi

The fan-favorite antihero Deadpool, the Merc with a mouth is returning for the third time, under the Disney and MCU brand after 20th Century Fox acquisition by the former. After much deliberation and various assumptions by Marvel fans, the sequel to Deadpool 3 is confirmed to stay true to the gritty and gory tone of the previous sequels, with an ‘R’ rating, the first ever for Disney and MCU brand.

Writers confirm R-rating for MCU’s Deadpool

Reese has said the following about Deadpool 3:

“It’s a thrill, It’s an absolute thrill to have the band back together, to have a new backdrop in the MCU with new characters, new villains, that kind of thing. You know, it’s never a marriage we necessarily saw coming — Fox and Disney, that was an external thing [separate] from our storytelling process. But we’re absolutely finding the serendipity and the gold in that situation, or we’re trying to.”

Wernick has reiterated Reese’s opinions saying, “Deadpool is gonna be Deadpool,” hinting another R-rated installment is on the cards. Reese also further stated that Disney is very supportive of their vision and hopes it will stay that way.

“They’ve been very supportive with regard to that. Now when it comes to a particular joke, if we cross a line, maybe we’ll hear at some point, ‘Maybe not that joke.’ But I think they’ve been incredibly supportive of what we’re doing, because obviously we were doing it separate from them for a long time, and I think they’ve seen the success and they’ve had their own even greater success. So hopefully it’ll be a marriage made in heaven. But we’ve definitely got their support, and that’s a great thing to feel.”

Seems like Disney is breaking new grounds with Deadpool 3 and taking the MCU in a new direction, with an adult-oriented approach for some of the properties.
