Disney’s biggest fan event that happens bi-yearly – D23 Expo 2022 has started and the biggest studio in the entire world has made some big announcements. The event is supposed take place in the Anaheim Convention Centre from 9th September 2022 to 11th September 2022. Today was day 2 after all the announcements from Disney and Pixar, today we had all the Marvel announcements. After San Diego Comic Con’s huge Marvel panel we were all excited to know what Marvel had in store for us at Disney’s biggest fan event. While I’ll admit we didn’t get any huge announcements but we’ve gotten some pretty saucy ones. Today’s announcements were mostly an extension of all the things Marvel had announced at SDCC’22. Let’s list down all the announcements that happened on the second day of D23 Expo 2022.
New Footage of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Revealed!
One of the first things we got on day 2 was Wakanda Forever’s new footage. The new trailer showed a room full of United Nations people who are arguing over the dangers of Vibranium and how Wakanda refuses to share the metal with the rest of the world. The Queen talks about the death of the King and a cut shows the Dora Milage in an intense battle. Ryan Coogler also talks about how Chadwick Boseman has become a Disney Legend.
Marvel ‘s Ironheart New Logo Revealed!
Ironheart is an upcoming Marvel series that will focus on Tony Stark’s prodigy Riri Williams who will debut in the MCU in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. We’d gotten the confirmation on the series at SDCC’22 but in D23 Expo, Marvel revealed a new logo for the series and series star Anthony Ramos talked about how the series is going to be a war between Magic and Science.
Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania New Trailer Revealed!
Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Jonathan Majors appeared on the stage to talk about the film and told the audiences that this installment in the Antman franchise will be nothing like they’ve seen before. The film revealed some new footage of the film that was an extension of the trailer we saw at Comic Con. The entire Lang family travels to the Quantum realm when they’re greeted by Kang the Conqueror. Randall Park will return as Jimmy Woo.
Werewolf By Night’s Official Trailer Released!
Werewolf by Night will be a Halloween special from Marvel and Michael Giancchio. The series stars the likes of Gael Garcia Bernal and Laura Donnelly. Fans were surprised by the horror series’ trailer that is themed black and white. Werewolf by Night will start streaming on Disney+ from 8th October 2022.

Marvel ‘s Secret Invasion First Trailer Released!
The long awaited Secret Invasion Trailer was finally revealed and released online at D23 Expo 2022. The trailer shows Nick Fury returning to Earth where Skrulls who had once entered Earth as refugees are secretly infiltrating Earth and taking over. Nick Fury is here to stop them from happening. The trailer features Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill and Emilia Clarke in an unannounced role. The trailer looks good and the series is supposed to start streaming on Disney+ in Spring 2023.

Marvel ‘s Armor Wars Officially Announced!
Secret Invasion is directly going to lead into Armor Wars. Marvel revealed a new logo for the show and Don Cheadle’s War Machine is returning for the show. Don Cheadle has told the audience that the filming for the series has been scheduled to begin next year. This is going to be another big Marvel show after Secret Invasion.
Marvel ‘s Loki Season 2 New Footage Revealed!
Tom Hiddleston walked up on stage with Owen Wilson and Sophia Di Martino talking about Season 2. Kevin Feigi confirmed that Season 2 of Loki will directly tie in to Avengers 4 and will be extremely important to the Multiverse Saga. We also got some new footage from Season 2. In the preview, Loki is seen being dragged through the timelines, and he eventually lands at a place where he uses his staff the open up a new timeline. The new timeline is opened through wall with Kang aesthetics to which Loki says, “War is on its way”.
Fantastic Four’s Director Announced!
I think this was something we were all desperately waiting for. We’d already gotten many leaks that we knew the new director of the Fantastic Four movie will Wanda Vision’s director Matt Shakman. However, we also thought that the cast for the reboot will be revealed but no we still don’t know who will play Marvel’s version of the Fantastic Four. The reason for this is believed to be that Kevin Feigi wants to confirm the selected cast with director Matt Shakman as he values a director’s opinion.
Echo’s First Look Revealed!
We got a glimpse of the upcoming Marvel series Echo. The footage we saw showed Echo standing with Kingpin with hands glowing. The cast of Echo, Vincent D’onofrio and Alaqua Cox, are invited to the stage. The cast of the film then talks about learning the American Sign Language and how difficult and equally rewarding the process was.
Daredevil: Born Again, Charlie Cox Appears!
After the Echo’s announcements everyone from the cast members left the stage except for Vincent D’Onofrio and Kevin Feigi moves onto the next thing and as he is announcing our favorite vigilante cum advocate- Matt Murdock aka Daredevil walks on the stage. The entire crowd goes wild as Charlie Cox appears. Cox revealed that the audiences can watch more of Daredevil in She-Hulk’s upcoming episodes. Then a preview from She-Hulk was shown where both advocates are seen together. Daredevil is in his Red and Yellow suit.
Captain America: New World Order Gets an Update!
Captain America: New World Order is the 4th Captain America movie and Kevin Feigi announced that the film will be directed by Julius Onah. The film is supposed to be thriller just like Captain America: Winter Soldier. Tim Blake Nelson will be returning to the MCU as the leader in the film and Danny Ramirez will be the next Falcon in the MCU. Feigie revealed that this film will take place in a world without the Avengers. That is the new order, no Avengers. All the world has now is the Thunderbolts.
Thunderbolts’ Cast Revealed!
Thunderbolts like in the comics in not group of villains working together to stop collateral damage. This new Thunderbolts is a new justice group. The film see the return of Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Hannah John-Kamen, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko and David Harbour. Thunderbolts is set to begin filming from early 2023.
The Marvels Gets an Update!
Monica Rambeau, Captain Marvel and Kamala Khan were present on the stage when Kevin Feigi was talking about the film. We even got to see a new sneak peek from the film where we saw Monica Rambeau talking with Nick Fury in space where she suddenly swaps places with Kamala Khan and we learn that their powers are entangled. Exactly what we saw in Ms. Marvels’ post credit scene.
Disney’s D23 Expo has started and will take place between 9th September 2022 to 11th September.
