Fantastic Four First Steps 2025 Full Plot Leak, Spoilers + Post Credit Scenes Explained

Marvel Studios is gearing up to launch Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” aiming to usher in a new era of cohesive and compelling storytelling reminiscent of the acclaimed Infinity Saga. Following mixed receptions in Phases Four and Five, this film is anticipated to rejuvenate the franchise’s narrative strength. The recently released trailer has ignited fan enthusiasm, offering a glimpse into the retro-futuristic 1960s setting and the dynamics of Marvel’s First Family.

As it happens the plot for the film as well as its post credits sequences have been leaked online. For those who just can’t wait to find out what happens or wanna be sure about watching it, following is the full spoiler breakdown of the film. So, yeah, MASSIVE SPOILER warning is now in effect.

Fantastic Four: First Steps Full Plot Summary – Massive Spoilers

Part 1: Introduction and Red Ghost Battle – A stylized opening TV montage recaps the Fantastic Four’s origin, powers, and current public image. The team is backstage getting ready for a talk show appearance but gets an alert and leaves before going onstage. This leads to an opening action sequence which is a 10-minute battle with the Red Ghost, backed by a licensed rock track, and sets the tone and reintroduces powers/dynamics. We then witness the family dinner from the trailer where Sue reveals she’s pregnant and it’s all a big emotional beat. There is also a subplot where Ben bonds with children and flirts with a teacher (not Alicia Masters). Later, while experimenting with teleportation, Reed learns that entire planets are mysteriously vanishing.

Part 2: Silver Surfer and Galactus Introduction – Seven Months Later, Sue’s pregnancy is advanced. Reed conducts an ultrasound to see if the baby has powers. Next, the Silver Surfer arrives and descends over Times Square with a dire warning: “Your doom is inevitable.” We also see a nice cameo of two comic creators (one named “Jack”) witnessing the event. Reed tracks the Surfer’s energy. Then the team boards a spaceship to investigate planetary disappearances. They witness Galactus devouring a planet using a horrifying, mechanical planet-drill (resembling a Bayverse Transformer). On Galactus’s ship, a scan highlights Sue’s belly. The Surfer says Sue will “lead them” to Galactus. They see disturbing visuals: bones, flesh, and plant life in flowing canals. We then see Galactus seated on a throne. He offers Earth’s safety in exchange for Sue’s unborn child, whom he senses could replace him — ending his eternal hunger.

Part 3: Fantastic Four Escape From Galactus Ship – Sue Goes Into Labor on Galactus’s ship. The FF flee in their ship, chased by the Surfer while Sue gives birth mid-flight. Reed tells Ben to skim a black hole’s event horizon to trap the Surfer — it works. Franklin is born above Earth. Reed reveals everything to the public and as a result Herbie is destroyed by angry protesters. Protesters surround the Baxter Building. Reed suggests giving up Franklin — Sue is furious. Sue walks into the crowd with Franklin and delivers a heartfelt speech about staying united as a family. Reed proposes a worldwide teleportation network to move Earth to safety. Humanity rallies together to build teleporters but during the countdown, the Surfer returns and destroys the teleporters.

Part 4: The Final Plan – This is where Johnny’s side plot pays off. Earlier, the Surfer told Johnny something in her language. Since then, he’s been translating audio from dying planets. After the teleporter sabotage, Johnny plays audio of the destroyed planets in Times Square. The Surfer is emotionally overwhelmed and flees, leaving behind one working teleporter. Then begins the new plan! They bait Galactus with Franklin to lure him into the remaining teleporter. NYC is evacuated while Galactus arrives, detects the trap, and snatches Franklin anyway. In the process, he destroys the Baxter Building to get him.

Part 5: Climax and Resolution – In the climactic final battle the Fantastic Four fight Galactus. Reed snatches Franklin mid-battle, Johnny triggers the teleporter, and Sue pushes Galactus into it using a massive force field, however the strain kills Sue. Galactus is only halfway through when Johnny prepares to finish the job. Meanwhile, the Surfer returns and sacrifices herself, completing the mission. As the battle ends, the surviving first family grieves. However, baby Franklin crawls over Sue, reviving her — showing his vast, reality-warping powers which made him one of the most powerful cosmic beings in Marvel comics. In the final scene, we once again see the TV montage/talk show prep. This time, they argue about how to install Franklin’s car seat just before running off on another mission.

Superman Post-Credit Scenes Explained

As per reports there will be just one post credit scene in the film. The scene begins as Sue is reading a book to Franklin, who is now a few months old. She gets up to grab another one from the shelf around the corner. In the background, we hear the sound of a teleportation device activating. As she turns back, she freezes. The book slips from her hand and standing before her is a cloaked figure – Doctor Doom. We don’t see his face, but his full body is visible beneath a silver cloak. In one hand, he holds his iconic mask (rendered in CGI); in the other, he carries an unconscious Franklin. He lifts his head slowly, locks eyes with Sue, and says something ominous — possibly foreshadowing Franklin’s power or Doom’s future role. This is where the scene cuts to black and the words The Fantastic Four will return in Avengers: Doomsday” pop up.

That’s it for today. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is all set to release in theatres worldwide on July 25, 2025.
