The Fantastic Four reboot has had its fair share of ups and downs. The Matt Shakman directorial is in search of its actors for a while now. It seems like Marvel has knocked on everyone’s door but no one has answered or Marvel just isn’t confirming anything with us. For a while now, we’ve heard that Pedro Pascal is going to be Marvel’s Mr. Fantastic and alongside him, Vanessa Kirby would play Sue Storm. Kirby was in talks after Margot Robbie and Jodie Comer refused the part. For a film supposed to be so important for Marvel, it is weird that the casting is not through yet. The studio is truly going through terrible phase. However, a new update brings positive news.
Fantastic Four: Cast Will Be Announced Soon!
Marvel’s Fantastic Four has reportedly cast all of the characters which are necessary for the film’s production to begin. This update comes to us courtesy of Daniel Richtman, who has a great record when it comes to unravelling Marvel secrets. While the leaker didn’t mention what was the finalized cast, he did tell us that the announcement of the cast is imminent and Marvel has no plans to keep it a secret.
If this update is coming to us right after rumors of Pedro Pascal playing Mr. Fantastic surfaced on the internet, then I don’t think so it is a coincidence. I had also come across the news that the actor had reportedly quit several projects to keep his schedule open for the Marvel reboot. After Vanessa Kirby, no actress has come into the limelight for portraying Mrs. Fantastic.
Well, if that happens to be the real casting then we’ll see Pascal and Kirby first time together on screen. I don’t have any update on the casting for the Human Torch and the Thing. The last I heard was Paul Mescal reportedly being circled for the role of the fiery superhero. However, nothing was further clarified. Also, given the career trajectory of Paul Mescal, I rarely think he’ll be interested to do a Marvel role.
The Fantastic Four reboot is slated to release in theatres on May 2nd 2025.
