Guardians of the Galaxy 3: Will Poulter Comments on Playing Adam Warlock -

Guardians of the Galaxy was a surprise hit for Marvel when it came back in 2014. Not just that, it still remains one of the best MCU films ever made with a lot of heart, humor, and badass moments. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 followed the footsteps of Vol. 1 and once again presented a refined piece of superhero cinema. The franchise has gathered millions of fans and everyone is quite excited for Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Although, they all appeared in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, their portrayal wasn’t as iconic as in their own movies. So, it’s finally time to gear up for a new adventure and this adventure would mark the introduction of one of the strongest Marvel characters there are.

Yes, Adam Warlock is all set to mark his debut in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, and will be portrayed by Will Poulter. There was a lot of fan casting for the popular Marvel character which included the likes of Christian Bale, and Keanu Reeves. But it was confirmed that Will Poulter will portray the iconic character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Poulter has been consistently involved in major Hollywood projects since two decades and these include We’re The Millers, Maze Runner, and The Revenant. A few hours ago, in an interview with Collider, Poulter expresses his gratefulness to Marvel Studios, especially for letting him debut in the Guardians franchise. Here’s what Will Poulter about his character:

I’ve gotta say, I never banked on being involved, in any capacity, really, but I’m certainly very grateful. I’m especially grateful that my introduction has taken place in the world of the Guardians, specifically. It’s a franchise that I’m a particularly big fan of, and I couldn’t ask for a nicer, more fun introduction, really, into the Marvel universe.

You might have questions like – Is Adam Warlock a Villain? Is Adam Warlock a guardian of the galaxy? Is Adam Warlock A God? Well, don’t worry as we’ll answer all your questions here. First of all, Adam Warlock (Him) is not a God, in fact he is an artificially created being but he posses powers equal to Gods. He was first introduced as a villain and was beaten to pulp by Thor, but he was reborn stronger than ever in a regeneration cradle. Then once again he returned as a villain and he also served as a major part of Marvel’s Infinity War saga as he was in the possession of the Soul Stone. He later on became a superhero and joined Guardians of the Galaxy and remained a member for a long time.

In the MCU, Adam Warlock was first teased at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. High Priestess Ayesha was revealed to have created a perfect being who she named “Adam”. Ever since then, fans have impatiently been waiting for Adam Warlock’s return and it was expected to happen in Infinity War or Endgame. Well, that didn’t happen as MCU chose to create its own Indiana Jones like Soul Stone hunt which resulted in Gamora and Black Widow’s death. Anyways, we are really hyped for the arrival of Adam Warlock, which will probably be as an antagonist in GOTG 3, and Will Poulter looks very promising as Adam.
