Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 New Trailer Broke A Major Record!

In 2014,  James Gunn introduced a rag tag team of misfits travelling in space who were not at all famous with the general audiences. In fact these characters were not so famous amongst comic book readers as well called the Guardians of the Galaxy. The first two films in the franchise worked very well as it explored the interpersonal relations between all the characters. It had great emotional quotient where we understood all the characters a lot more. After this, the characters’ journeys were continued in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and Thor: Love and Thunder to some extent. We haven’t had a GOTG movie for over 5 years now, although we did get a Holiday Special just last year and it was the best thing Marvel has come out with in Phase 4.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3  is releasing this year in May and it is the final movie in the Guardians franchise, this means that this is the last time we’ll see most these characters. The franchise has been quite successful for Marvel, so will the last one go out with a bang? Or not? Let’s see what the early box office projections of the film are.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 To Open Big At The Box Office!

The early box office projections for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hint towards an explosive opening in May. For reference, the first Guardians of the Galaxy opened at $94.3 million in its first weekend and $333.7 million at the end of its theatrical run.

Vol. 2’s numbers were naturally much higher with the sequel collecting $146.5 million in its first weekend and its lifetime collection was $389 million. Given the popularity of the franchise Vol. 3 is destined to open big and the predictions are proof of it. The threequel is set to make more than Quantumania domesticallywhich opened to a solid $106 million three-day weekend yet won’t even crack $220 million in total.
