Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is the third and last film in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The third film in the franchise has been something fans have been waiting for many years. It was rumored for a longtime that at San Diego Comic Con we’ll be getting a small tease of the film. We did but it was only for the people in attendance. However, the people who were there have described what the film’s footage and to be concise about it… it sounds awesome. Let’s take a look at what the footage shown at SDCC reveals. Watch the leaked footages from trailer here.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: Rocket’s Backstory Revealed?
According to a source at CBR the footage shown looks something like this, “Much of the trailer focuses on shots of Rocket’s creation in a lab, with a prominent clip showing him as a baby, shying away from a hand reaching for him in a cage. Another clip shows him in the lab with his number, 89P13, written above him on the wall. At some point, another character asks Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill about Rocket, to which he responds, “He won’t talk about it.” “
“The trailer opens up with quite a different scene. It starts with the team captured by Ravagers and Quill attempting to convince them that he’s one of them. Nebula steps forward, informing them they have a meeting with Gamora. Zoe Saldana’s Gamora then steps forward, revealing herself to be the new leader of the Ravagers and the alternate version seen in Avengers: Endgame.”
“In another clip, Quill attempts to have a serious conversation with Gamora while they are wearing spacesuits, and she calls him “Quinn.” In a slightly comedic moment, the rest of the team reveals themselves and explains they’d been listening in as the two had been speaking on a public channel. Other notable moments in the trailer include a glimpse at Groot, who looks significantly bigger than he did in Endgame, though more buff than tall.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 Writer & Director James Gunn, who has helmed all the films in the franchise recently talked about the film, “This is about the final arc that we began in the first movie. When they first told me about it, I thought it sounds a little goofy, but I was thinking about it driving home, and I realized, ‘If there’s a talking raccoon, he’s the saddest creature in the universe.'”
Chris Pratt who plays Peter Quill aka Star Lord in the franchise revealed earlier this year, “Peter Quill is reeling from the events of Endgame and from losing Gamora. She’s the love of his life and she does not know who he is. It opens up a vulnerability of the Guardians of the Galaxy for danger.” Meanwhile, Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula, said, “The death of Thanos might give Gamora’s sister a bit of “levity” in the film, finding their father’s death a “very cathartic experience.”
The two important additions to the cast of the third film is Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock and Chukwudi Iwuji as the High Evolutionary. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will release net year on 5th May 2023.
