Ironheart When Will Mephisto Appear In The MCU

Many new superheroes have been introduced in the MCU ever since Marvel has transcended into their Phase 4. The same goes with supervillains. However, every time when there is speculation going on around something, the most common name I come across is always Mephisto. I think it all started with Spider-Man: No Way Home’s Trailer where due to the storyline and an off beat Doctor Strange, everyone was theorizes that this Doctor Strange isn’t Doctor Strange at all. He is in fact Mephisto, the annoying, cruel, dangerous Marvel villain. The character is a demon and rules a dimension which he calls Hell or Hades, although, this has nothing to do with Christian mythology. He is an archenemy of Silver Surfer and Ghost Rider but he has often caused problems for heroes like Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch and Doctor Doom. That is why it made sense that he would appear in No Way Home but he didn’t.

Marvel has teased and referenced a character for quite a long time and every time there is even a shred of evidence that he exists in the MCU, the fans freak out. The clearest reference to him was in She-Hulk’s episode 4 where we meet Donny Blaze who weirdly looks like Ghost Rider and has a name rhyming with him. He sends a drunk girl – Madisynn to some other dimension where she describes a man and his surroundings exactly like the what I described above. This felt like a direct taunt at all the Marvel fans who see him everywhere, as it was a direct reference to him and yet they didn’t acknowledge his existence. The most recent that we’ve gotten about the character is that Marvel has already casted an actor to play Mephisto and he’ll be making his MCU debut in the Disney+ series Ironheart.

Ironheart: Which Episodes of the Series will Feature Mephisto?

Ironheart Did Marvel Secretly Cast Mephisto

Deadline earlier this month had reported that Marvel has already made plans for Mephisto. The details are the same as mentioned about. Today, once again Deadline has reported about Mephisto, this time with a little more details. The site reports that, Sacha Baron Cohen would appear as Mephisto in the 5th and 6th episode of the show. This is because of the rumors of CGI scans of the actor taking place as well as reported in-person scenes. This does make a popular theory about the show appear to be true.

The theory is states Cohen will likely have some sort of dual identity in the series, giving weight to speculation he would be playing Marvel’s take on the Devil. After knowing that Mephisto will appear in Ironheart, many people were confused as in what is the Devil doing in a show like Ironheart? Well, thankfully there is an explanation. Well, the Ironheart’s villain in the show is The Hood, a criminal who wields a magical red hood. In the comics, its powers originated from Dormammu.

However for the MCU, Marvel could always switch directions and make them come from Mephisto instead. I believe this is the logical change that Marvel will make to draw sense out of Mephisto’s appearance. MCU’s next film – Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will release in theatres near you from 11th November 2022.
