Disney Plus and Marvel’s Loki, is MCU’s most important series / movie ever since Avengers: Endgame. Not only is it exceptional in putting forward it’s own narrative, but it also takes MCU Phase 4 to the next level. Season 1 saw the total ripping off of the timeline and TVA losing total control over everything. On top of that, we saw Loki being transported to a different reality. We also saw the introduction of Kang the Conqueror, who will be the next big bad of the MCU.
So, in the greater universe of Phase 5 and 6, Loki series is going to play a huge role and therefore, all eyes are on Loki season 2 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania right now. Mostly because both of them will feature Kang and lay the foundations to his endgame plans. For everyone waiting for Loki Season 2 update, we a huge one today in the form of plot leaks provided by Danie RPK posted this on the MSS discord. Read forward only if you are comfortable in reading MAJOR SPOILERS for the upcoming season.
Loki Season 2 Plot Leaks Complicate Things Further
Kate Dickie is the main villain of Loki Season 2. She plays an older version of Sylvie trying to right her wrongs and is using rogue TVA agents to erase the new timelines that appeared after the death of He Who Remains. Loki and the rest of the TVA team want to get in her way because they don’t want other people to die and they need the timelines to be free. There is no Kang overseeing TVA in this timeline and the TVA is on their own.
The ending of season 1 misled everyone. There is no Kang in TVA. We find out about this in episode 1 and return to our usual agency, but at the moment no one is responsible for them. Let us talk about the main part of the plot leaks now. Loki, Mobius and other agents of TVA, are trying to prevent the elderly Sylvie and the rogue agents from erasing the new timelines. During their mission, Loki finds our Sylvie, who is in hiding in the 70s and works at McDonald’s.
All Loki except the Classic one will return. Loki and Sylvia’s romance continues and plays a central role in the story. Kang plays a secondary role in the series. The Mobius we see at the end of Season 1 is still our Mobius. Loki actually went back in time when TVA first appeared and He Who Remains was not hiding from others. He later erased all their memories and made them believe in the Timekeepers.
Loki’s mind flits between TVA’s past and present until Mobius brings him to Bow, played by Ke Huy Quan. He’s from TVA and is behind their technology. He will create some kind of device and give it to Loki so that he can fully return to the present. So far that is all we know about the season and we’ll add more plot leaks in future when they arrive. Loki Season 2 is slated on release on Disney+ in mid-2023 and Season 1 is available for streaming.
