Loki Season 2 is the biggest Marvel event that is coming this summer. Not to take anything away from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania or Guardians of the Galaxy but the God of Mischief series is both a well crafted piece of content as well as something that is very relevant to the MCU’s current saga. The series was the first one to introduce us the new MCU big bad- Kang. He didn’t appear in his Conqueror variant but nevertheless gave us a glimpse of power that Kangs have as it is not one person but a dynasty that is turning against themselves. Kang doesn’t only have to fight our heroes but also himself, like literally… multiple versions of himself. Season 2 of Loki was always going to be crazier. The madness was about to be doubled down.
The most recent update we got regarding the second season was Kate Dickie’s inclusion as the villain. She is supposed to play an old villainous version of Sophia di Martino’s Sylvie. As the madness is doubling down, Season 2 will have more Kang variants than we’ve ever seen in MCU film or TV series.
Loki Season 2: How Many Kang Will There Be?
Industry insider Daniel Ritchman revealed some information about the upcoming Loki Season 2. He teased Jonathan Majors extended role as he won’t be playing one but multiple characters in the TV series. On his Patreon, Ritchman teased that, “there will be multiple Kang variants in Loki Season Two.” In addition to this, Ritchman on the same medium had revealed that Jonathan Majors is filming for Loki Season 2 again. He’d said, “Jonathan Majors recently filmed more scenes as a variant of Kang for Loki. The season will have more time travel.”
Along with this, Ritchman offered us a nice juicy dandy as he revealed something more important of the second season. He teased a new concept that will be introduced in the second season, which might have answers to all the questions that we may have. Ritchman explained, “Loki season 2 will introduce a new concept called Time Loom, it is the source of the TVA power. They use the energy from the time stream and absorb it.”
Loki Season 2 is slated on release on Disney+ in mid-2023. Season 1 is available for streaming.
