Secret Wars

The MCU’s first 3 phases focused on the Infinity Saga. The saga lasted about 23 movies and the climax of the Saga was helmed by the Russo Brothers. These seemingly novices did a splendid job with directing Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Seeing the quality of their vision in that film, Marvel President Kevin Feigi entrusted them with the third Captain America film – Civil War. In that film, the Russo Brothers handled almost the all characters of the MCU, that to with ease. Handling every character’s separate tracks in a 2 hour confined film is not everyone’s piece of cake. I mean we saw what happened to Joss Whedon while directing Avengers: Age of Ultron. The outfall of Age of Ultron had put Marvel in search for a new director for their climactic end to the Infinity Saga.

Russo Brothers directing Civil War and managing each character very well acted as a saving grace for Marvel. Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, the two part finale for the Infinity Saga were helmed by the Russo Brothers and they were Marvel’s most successful films yet. Avengers: Infinity War grossed around $2.048 Billion worldwide while Endgame outdone everyone with its massive $2.7975 Billion box office haul. It beat Avatar to the race of the Highest Grossing Film of All Time. Although, Avatar regained its top spot back, it doesn’t take away any glory from Avengers: Endgame. Endgame has to be cinematic event whose scale is unmatched till now sheerly because of the amount of heroes it unites together. However, if rumor is to be trusted then Feigi wants Secret Wars to be even bigger.

Marvel: Avengers 6 To Involve Many X-Men?

When Feigi announced the Phase 5 & 6 of the MCU, he had planned to culminate the Multiverse saga with two back to back Avengers movies called The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. For the first time ever, we were to get two Avengers movies in a year. However, due to the scheduling crisis with Blade everything back paddled and now we are no longer getting Secret Wars in the same year as The Kang Dynasty. A recent rumor that has been circling around the internet is that Feigi has a grand plan and vision for Secret Wars.

According to The Heavy Spoilers YouTube channel, Feigi wishes to recreate the portal scene from Avengers: Endgame that almost brought together all the MCU heroes from the 11 years since the inception of the cinematic universe. However, Feigi wishes to top that with Secret Wars. He wants all the heroes from all the Marvel movies to come together and fight against Kang as he makes his presence felt throughout universes. This means every Marvel movie that has came out since the 2000s will be featured in Secret Wars.

This includes the X-Men from the Fox universe, Spider-Men from the Sony Universes and many more. Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will anyways make their debut in the MCU in Deadpool 3. The YouTube channel mentioned, “Feige’s dream and his vision is to have a similar scene to the Portals one at the end of Avengers: Endgame. However, instead of just being restricted to MCU characters, we’ll have multiple Marvel franchises converging at this point. This will include Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, several X-Men cast members, Fantastic Four ones, and so on and so forth. Kang will have ravaged multiple dimensions at this point, and there will be a final stand against him.”

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will release on 7th November 2025 & Avengers: Secret Wars will release on 1st May 2026
