The end of Phase 3 marked Marvel’s entry into into TV shows. Since 2020, Marvel has started something that they’ve never done before, broadening their horizon. Marvel has made 6 films in Phase 3 so far and 7 TV shows. We’ve gotten about 50 hours worth of content from Marvel combined. However, one thing that can’t be denied is that Phase 4 has not particularly worked for Marvel. Except for a rare success in Spider-Man: No Way Home and TV shows like Loki, Marvel is struggling to keep their audience hooked to their content. If they don’t do something to fix this soon they might simply loose their audience as the promise of success from the previous phases won’t keep eyeballs glued to the screens. Their latest Disney+ release was Ms. Marvel, a show focusing on Kamala Khan a Pakistani-American Superhero.
The show didn’t exactly do well as many audiences found the show mediocre. It did score 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, although its IMDb score is 6.1/10. The overall quality of the show was well…average. It did have some surprises though. Like Captain Marvel swapping places with Kamala in the post credit scene, Kamala’s powers origins hints at Mutant’s existence. However, if we digress from the superhero world for a while then an extremely disturbing update has surfaced regarding one of the actors from the Ms. Marvel TV series. Mohan Kapur who played Kamala Khan’s father in the show is facing sexual harassments allegations from a 15-year old.
Ms. Marvel Star Mohan Kapur Sent His Nudes To a 15-year-old Girl?
Another name has been added to the campaign as Mohan Kapur who portrayed Yusuf Khan in Ms. Marvel has been accused of sharing explicit images with a minor. @Nayaaaax3 who is the survivor has revealed that she meant to confront Mohan Kapur about his actions but he instead gaslighted her making her believe that it was her fault. The entire incident has been tweeted by the survivor.
The victim said, “When I was 14 years old, I was a fan of this serial actress & we became friends. Her partner at that time Mohan Kapur also became friends with me. I respected the both of them almost like 2nd parents, & told them about my stressful life. But Mohan Kapur took advantage of me. We constantly talked until I notice he started flirting with me. Then when I was 15 years old Mohan Kapur sent his d**k pics to me. He was apologizing nonstop & was depressed….
I forgave him. But after that he continued to harass me….His partner (now ex) knew the type of man he was…. She was aware that he was talking to me. When I met her in person, I told her everything that was happening. A year later I stopped talking to her after she started gaslighting me. I was so depressed about this situation….
I was so confused & depressed…. I’m not sure if it’s Stockholm syndrome or what but I kept on thinking that all of this was my fault… and kept on wanting to be his friend again. I kept on thinking that he really truly cared about me… but he didn’t. My depression got worst & I was planning to take my own life…. I kept on calling Mohan Kapur… he ignore my calls… and at times told me to get over it. Then completely twist the whole story to make me look like the bad person… he kept on saying that he can’t trust me…
The last time I talked to Mohan Kapur was 2020 and I was crying… I said I really can’t take any of this anymore…. Hoping that he would apologize & understand the trauma he had cause. Instead he told me that he can’t trust me and the only way he can trust me again is if….@mohankapur When I stand up for myself… you gaslight me and blame me for “misconstruing chat” and your reason for asking for my nudes was that you can prove your innocence???!! Does that even make any sense MOHAN??”
She also shared a conversation between the two which revealed Kapur’s response to being asked why he asked her to send him explicit nude images:
@Nayaaaax3: “Why did you ask me to send you nudes”
Kapur: “To keep as proof your intentions. You have misconstrued our conversations to make it sound that I was sexually harassing you. I have all the stuff myself too. I don’t say things cause that’s not what friends do. And I won’t either”
As of now these are allegations and nothing against either parties have been proven. We as a website aren’t supporting any individual in this case. Although, we genuinely hope the truth surfaces soon. If sexual misconduct was indeed committed then the accused must be punished.
All six episodes of Ms. Marvel are currently streaming on Disney+
