She-Hulk

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law is the new Marvel Phase 4 web series that will focus on Hulk’s cousin She Hulk played by Tatiana Maslany. The show is about a superhero girl Jennifer Walters who works for a Law Firm that handles superhero cases. The show from the trailer would have Hulk aka Bruce Banner trying to mentor Jennifer on how to be a good Super Hero. The show’s narrative will be mostly about how Walters will balance between being a lawyer and a Superhero. There was some backlash regarding the show’s VFX for sometime but that is now clear. The Disney+ series had its pre-screening on 16th August and critics couldn’t stop praising the series. This trend of positive reviews at pre-screenings is something the MCU is known for. She-Hulk can pull the MCU out of the creativity rut that it has been stuck in.

Especially the kind of year that Marvel has had, a win would really do good for them. Except for some genuine hits like Loki, Moon Knight, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Shang Chi & the Legend of Ten Rings, Phase 4 for the MCU has been a dull affair. Every now then they come up with something that we feel like could bring back the MCU charm but that ship has long crashed into the iceberg. She-Hulk will start streaming from today so fingers crossed for some good MCU content. Talking about MCU content, She-Hulk will be full of it. Not only from a narrative perspective but the show will also be filled with cameos and even after credit scenes.

She-Hulk to have most number of After Credit scenes ever?

After the pre-screening of any series or film there is an embargo that restricts critics from sharing their complete view on the film that might spoil it. She-Hulk too had an embargo set by Marvel. As the embargo for She-Hulk has been lifted, some very useful information is out. Erik Davis from Fandango who must’ve attended the pre-screening in person or may have gotten this information some how confirms that She-Hulk’s After Credit scenes will create MCU history.

He shared his thoughts on Twitter, “Also, an amusing theme of SheHulk is that it very purposefully tries to be something an MCU fan would love. Cameos! Mid-credits scenes in every episode! It adds this extra muscle to ultimately win you over. Kinda like its main character does, too.”

This is huge news as no MCU series has done that before. With She-Hulk Marvel is taking the craziness to the next level. Previously the most after credit scenes seen in a MCU series was in Wanda Vision. That show had after credit scenes for three episodes, with 9th episode having 2 tag scenes. Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki and Moon Knight each had two episodes containing after credit scenes. However, they’re no competition to She-Hulk whose each episode will have a after credit scene or maybe more.

The series is rumored to have 9 episodes with a runtime of 30 minutes each. That means we’re going to get at least 9 after credit scenes if not more. This update from Davis doesn’t say what will the after credit scenes be about. Will they be strictly related to the series and its next episode or will it be related to anything in the MCU, like is it going to tease about multiple things throughout its run. I think it’ll be the former as I don’t see Marvel wasting all their teases in one series. The after credit scenes will act as a tease for the next episode.

Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk,  Jameela Jamil as Titania, Ginger Gonzaga as Nikki Ramos, Renée Elise Goldsberry as Amelia, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky / Abomination, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Smart Hulk, and Benedict Wong as Wong: The Sorcerer Supreme. Apart from the main cast, the Web Series also stars Josh Segarra, Jon Bass, Anais Almonte, Nicholas Cirillo, and Griffin Matthews have been cast in undisclosed roles. Drew Matthews portrays Dennis “Buck” Bukowski, while David Otunga appears as one of Walters’ dates. The character Frog Man will also appear.

She-Hulk will start streaming on Disney+ from 18th August 2022.
