She-Hulk

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law is the new Marvel Phase 4 web series that will focus on Hulk’s cousin She Hulk played by Tatiana Maslany. The show is about a superhero girl Jennifer Walters who works for a Law Firm that handles superhero cases. The show from the trailer would have Hulk aka Bruce Banner trying to mentor Jennifer on how to be a good Super Hero. After the teaser’s release, the show was heavily criticized on the poor VFX of She-Hulk as it cartoonish and fake. However, since it is a Marvel show there was some hype around the show nevertheless. As Comic Con was scheduled hardly a month before the series’ debut, Marvel had decided to exploit Comic Con to its fullest for the show’s promotion.

They started off with a few gimmicks like showcasing a new poster for the show that had a contact number for She-Hulk. If fans called that number they’ll be directed to a pre-recorded message that references funny moments from the MCU while promoting the show as well. However, Marvel busted out their big guns during their panel when they revealed the official trailer for the show. The new trailer was so much better than the teaser. Fans seem to like the trailer as it marked the return of many iconic characters and felt more finished. Although, today as we’ve entered August Marvel has released the first official clip from the show.

She Hulk Official Hulk Shows the Yoga Scene?

The new footage released by Marvel features the yoga scene that we last in the trailer. The yoga scene sees Hulk being a mentor figure to She-Hulk and from the looks of it she is picking up everything pretty quickly. She is acing whatever the Hulk is putting in front of her. Her smug attitude has rendered the Hulk impatient to the point where he pushes her off the cliff. The Hulk realizes that she is losing it now so the clip ends up with them sharing few cocktails where the Hulk tells her that as their body metabolizes quickly they can consume buckets of alcohol without the worry of getting wasted. Check out the clip here:

This is a fun clip that doesn’t reveal much of the story but definitely gives us an idea of what the overall vibe of the show will be like. Hulk pushing Jennifer is framed exactly how Hulk punches Thor in The Avengers. It is clearly a homage to the scene. However, as she falls down she gives the Hulk “the finger” but the footage seems to be cut from the this clip. Now that might be because they had to keep it family friendly. However, they did show it in the trailer, so why not here? Maybe the footage was only meant for the trailer and might not even be in the final cut of the show.

Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk,  Jameela Jamil as Titania, Ginger Gonzaga as Nikki Ramos, Renée Elise Goldsberry as Amelia, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky / Abomination, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Smart Hulk, and Benedict Wong as Wong: The Sorcerer Supreme. Apart from the main cast, the Web Series also stars Josh Segarra, Jon Bass, Anais Almonte, Nicholas Cirillo, and Griffin Matthews have been cast in undisclosed roles. Drew Matthews portrays Dennis “Buck” Bukowski, while David Otunga appears as one of Walters’ dates. The character Frog Man will also appear.

She-Hulk will start streaming on Disney+ from 17th August 2022.
