With the last two films of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man crossing a billion (Spider-Man: Far From Home- $1.132 billion and Spider-Man: No Way Home- $1.9 billion) , there is no chance that we’re not getting another one. Definitely Sony is concocting another Spider-Man film with Marvel which will have the creepy crawler face a different enemy. This time possibly on a much grounded scale. With No way Home coming in 2021, we should’ve gotten a new Spider-Man film in 2023, given the deal between Sony and Marvel. However, what is surprising is that since 2021 release all we’ve gotten are rumors but nothing concrete about Spider-Man 4. Although, now thanks to the WGA strike we’ve gotten a hopeful update regarding the upcoming fourthquel by none other than Tom Holland.
Wonderful Things Can Happen In Spider-Man 4!
While speaking with Inverse, the Britain star Tom Holland was asked about the rumored, upcoming Spider-Man 4 of the MCU and actor has some exciting answers for the fans. Holland began with, “Whether or not it’ll come to fruition, who knows? But right now it’s looking pretty good, and we’ll just have to wait and see.” He further added, “I’m going to have to plead the fifth there because I’m not prepared to start talking about the future of Spider-Man.”
Holland also went to talk about an interesting aspect of Spider-Man 4, “As everyone knows, I love him. He changed my life. I love the character. Should we find a way to tell his story and do justice to him, we will do so. But if we can’t find a way to do that, and if we can’t find a way to compete with the third one, then you know, he’ll swing off into the sunset.”
He ended with, “I feel like my agents and I have navigated the industry in a really good way over the last 10 years. But that said, if I just play Spider-Man for the rest of my life, I’d still be the luckiest kid alive. So there’s no complaints from me here.”
