Spider-Man: No Way Home was without doubt one of the most spellbinding and hype-inducing films by Marvel Studios. It had big surprises in store for everyone and paid an excellent homage to over 2 decades of Spider-Man movies and their respective fans. It managed to do something which seemed impossible a few years ago and it did it wonderfully. Owing to its tremendous success and mass appeal, the film’s extended cut just got re-released globally and that too had some pleasant surprises in store for the fans including what we are going to talk about here.

The re-release version will have a new post credit scene and it seems to solve or at least clarify one of the elements from the film. The movie ended on the note that the entire world has forgotten who Peter Parker is, they know Spider-Man but not Peter Parker.

The new post credit scenes features Betty Brant as she doing her last news segment before graduation. We see pictures taken of the class during their time together in High School, including the decathlon and Europe trip seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home. However, all of the pictures are missing Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, meaning not only did the Doctor Strange spell make everyone forge that Peter Parker was Spider-Man, but he has also been magically removed from physical items like pictures as well.

The scene is really devastating and has left most fans who have seen it upset and empathetic towards Peter. However, all is not lost yet, as now he gets to begin his story from the start and this time he will be an independent and mature Spider-Man like Tobey Maguire’s. The journey of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has just begun and from here on, the new trilogy could be a live spectacle for the upcoming generations.
