The Marvels is the fourth most expensive MCU movie ever. The film is reported to cost around $274.8 million. Although, the United Kingdom government gave Disney a $55 million subsidy while making the film, bringing the total amount spent on The Marvels down to around $220 million. This came as a surprise because for a film reported to have a length of only around 100 minutes that is a lot of money. At that time the runtime wasn’t officially revealed. However, if one is to speculate then the high cost is likely due to the extensive VFX work that will go into bringing it to life. However, today we have the official rating for the film, along with the official runtime. It is not as short as we were lead to be but the film is still very short.
The Marvels Extremely Short Runtime Revealed!
An earlier report revealed that The Marvels had a runtime of 1 hour and 33 minutes, making it the shortest MCU film ever. Now, that the film’s official runtime has been revealed, it is not as short but nonetheless, The Marvels is the shortest MCU film ever. The AMC Theatres website has The Marvels runtime clocking in at 1 hour and 45 minutes. For reference, the first Captain Marvel ran for 2 hours and 3 minutes.
