Young Avengers

The long promised Captain Marvel 2, now retitled as The Marvels is releasing this weekend. The film will continue Carol Denvers’ journey where she will be joined by Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel and Captain Monica Rambeau. The premise of the film was set in motion by the post credit scene of Ms. Marvel where Kamala’s bangles have similar powers to the negabands from the comics. The trio of the superpowered individuals switch places with each other whenever the bangles come in contact with each other. The early reviews and reactions of the film have been revealed and they’re, to put it mildly, underwhelming. However, the ending of the film and the one post credit scene it features seem to be mighty exciting. The post credit scene features X-Men’s Beast, while the ending scene basically introduces us to the Young Avengers. So, who all will be recruited in this new team? Has Marvel already introduced us to some of them.

All The Young Avengers Already Introduced To Us By Marvel!

  1. Kamala Khan – This was a no brainer. An entire TV series was dedicated for this character which did set-up the premise of The Marvels as I mentioned. The Iman Vellani character is definitely an important cog in Marvel’s machine given her powers and screen time. The post credit scene of The Marvels further solidifies that she will be founder of this new team.
  2. Kate Bishop – Hawkeye’s protege introduced to us in the Hawkeye series is Kate Bishop. She also appears in The Marvels post credit scene where Kamala asks her to join this new team that she is making. Based on the smirk at the end of the scene it seems clear that Bishop has agreed.
  3. Ant-Girl/Stinger – Ant-Man’s daughter Cassie Lang introduced to us from the first Ant-Man movie is a potential prospect to join the Young Avengers based on her adventures she had in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
  4. Ironheart – Introduced to us in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the teenage superhero was clearly in for the long haul and based on her advanced suit made with Wakandan tech, she would be a force to reckon with.
  5. Skaar – Briefly introduced in the abdominal finale of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Having a young Hulk will certainly be a strength for this newly found team.
  6. America Chavez – The center of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness storyline, Chavez was introduced with universe bending powers. At the end of the film, Chavez was seen studying the mystic arts in Kamar Taj. Based on how much Wong is involved in the MCU’s storyline it is only natural that Chavez would cross paths with the Young Avengers sooner rather than later.
  7. Love – Thor’s daughter or rather Gorr’s daughter at the end of Love and Thunder was seen wielding the Stormbreaker in battle. The Young Avengers would certainly need someone who can swing that big axe.
  8. Shuri or T’Challa’s Son – While Shuri is barely 21 (younger than Kate) in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it seems like she’ll be getting the honor of being part of the main Avengers. However, we were introduced to T’Challa’s son at the end of Wakanda Forever who we might see in Young Avengers soon.

If we missed any character then let us know in the comments. The Marvels is set to release in theatres on November 10, 2023.
