Years after the Defenders episodes on Netflix ended, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin have already been included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now that Jon Bernthal’s Punisher will be the next to follow suit, the pair will be starring in a new Daredevil series for Disney+. Soon, the MCU might be about to welcome Frank Castle into its fold.

Rosario Dawson, a former Marvel Netflix star, spoke about her aspirations for a comeback as Claire Temple this weekend at C2E2. To the audience’s shock, Dawson said that she had learned that “Punisher is coming back,” although she didn’t go into much detail.

Marvel fans online were also taken aback by the news, as many have spent years advocating for all of the main Netflix Marvel characters to join the MCU. It didn’t take long for people to begin going crazy over Bernthal’s Punisher’s possible comeback. Below are some of the more notable reactions!

In the new Disney+ series Armor Wars, Don Cheadle will play James Rhodes again. The only thing that is known for sure about the tv show is that it will deal with Tony Stark’s legacy and the technology he left behind getting into the wrong hands.

Following James Rhodes’s death, The Punisher wears the War Machine armor for a while in the comics. Castle is one of those who stake a claim to his technology after his death may provide for an interesting Armor Wars scenario. Additionally, this may be the only time viewers will ever get to witness the War Machine armour of the Punisher in action.
