Thor: Love and Thunder is one upcoming MCU Phase 4 film that fans have been impatiently waiting for. It will be the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the fourth one in the Thor franchise. Thor is the only MCU superhero to receive a 4th standalone installment and we expected nothing less from the character. After receiving a massive power boost in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War, Thor was reduced to a fat underpowered God in Avengers: Endgame. So, apart from a fitness montage, we are all excited for what else this film holds for us.
Is there a Thor: Love and Thunder trailer?
In one word, the answer is no. In fact, Thor: Love and Thunder has broken Marvel’s record for late trailer releases. Marvel seems to be quite busy with Doctor Strange 2, Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel promotional material at the moment. But Thor: Love and Thunder is all set to release on 8th July as well, and we have nothing close to a trailer or teaser yet. With just three months to go, fans are getting very impatient to get a peek into Thor 4, but Marvel is literally frustrating fans by giving them absolutely nothing. Well, that’s about to change now as we have received a huge tease from Thor’s Hindi voice Actor Gaurav Chopra.
He hyped the fans by sharing an Instagram story attached above which reads, “#ThorLoveandThunder Trailer Done. Can’t wait for you to see it!! Yippee”. So, this suggests that not only is there a Thor 4 trailer but it has also been sent to various countries to dub in their respective languages. Hence it’s safe to say that Thor: Love and Thunder trailer is on the way now and we might see it within 1-2 weeks. So yeah, get hyped!
What is the story of Thor: Love and Thunder?
As some of you might be aware, Thor: Love and Thunder will follow the Jane Foster Thor storyline from the comics. When it was announced Natalie Portman stole the spotlight by holding the Mjolnir giving a clear indication about what to expect from this film. Will the movie follow her classic origin storyline is yet to be seen. If the descriptions from the official Thor 4 merchandise is something to go by, it seems like Jane would encounter the Mjolnir under mysterious circumstances and it would grant her the god-like power we know she’ll posses. Here’s what the Jane Foster Thor and Ravager Thor Odinson’s respective action figures read:
Jane Foster’s life is forever changed when she mysteriously comes to possess the hammer Mjolnir… and the power of the Mighty Thor! Thor wields the mighty Stormbreaker against a terrifying new foe.
Now, except the Jane part, we know that Chris Hemsworth’s Thor Odinson will be seen with the Guardians of the Galaxy in the opening of the film as he will don a ravager costume. The new foe they are talking about is Gorr the God Butcher, portrayed by Christian Bale who is on a mission to kill the Gods. We also know that Russell Crowe’s Zeus is a part of the movie and that the movie will probably kick off with Gorr butchering the Greek Gods including Zeus. Obviously he will come for the Norse Gods next, much like Kratos, which means Thor Odinson will be on his hit list. Jane Foster Thor will join Thor Odinson and his friends on the mission to battle Gorr the God Butcher and this is what the storyline seems to be about so far.
