Thor: Love and Thunder is one upcoming MCU Phase 4 film that fans have been impatiently waiting for. It will be the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the fourth one in the Thor franchise. After receiving a massive power boost in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War, Thor was reduced to a fat underpowered God in Avengers: Endgame. So, apart from a fitness montage, we are all excited for what else this film holds for us. Thor: Love and Thunder has broken Marvel’s record for late trailer releases. Marvel seemed to be quite busy with Doctor Strange 2, Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel promotional material but we finally have some good news for you guys!
Thor: Love and Thunder Trailer Released
The first teaser of Thor: love and Thunder is here and it’s not what we expected. Here’s check it out below:
The trailer shows Thor on a journey of finding himself again and attaining some sort of peace and stability in life. The trailer was quite extravagant filled with colors and positive vibes. In the background Guns N’ Roses Sweet Child O’ Mine plays aptly matching the vibe and the tone of the trailer. We see Thor’s fitness and training montage which we all knew was coming. We saw Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor’s new found bond with them.
Also, we can see a brief appearance of Russell Crowe’s Zeus and Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster Thor. An interesting thing to note here was that, the pieces of Mjolnir seemed to be smelted back together instead of forging a whole new Mjolnir. Rest, it seems like Thor’s playful humor from Thor: Ragnarok will continue here and he’ll find a new purpose in life. Good about about Thor is that there are still loads more stories to tell and that is recisely the reason why Thor is the only MCU character to get a 4th solo film.
As some of you might be aware, Thor: Love and Thunder will follow the Jane Foster Thor storyline from the comics. When it was announced Natalie Portman stole the spotlight by holding the Mjolnir giving a clear indication about what to expect from this film. Will the movie follow her classic origin storyline is yet to be seen. If the descriptions from the official Thor 4 merchandise is something to go by, it seems like Jane would encounter the Mjolnir under mysterious circumstances and it would grant her the god-like power we know she’ll posses.
But surprisingly, this teaser barely featured any Jane Foster Thor and rather fixated on Thor Odinson we all know and love. Being one of the only characters from OG six Avengers who didn’t retire or die, this is the right way to go about it. Fans are excited to see the new MCU but they also want to connect with the characters and Thor is one character fans are already connected to. So, Thor: Love and Thunder will undoubtedly be a big film for MCU and this teaser is just a taste of what’s about to come.
