Thor: Love and Thunder is the newest Marvel film that focuses on the God of Thunder’s journey after Avengers: Endgame. After Thor: Ragnarok’s success and critical acclaim, everyone was expecting its sequel to be amazing as it was directed by the same guy- Taika Waititi. However, the film got mixed reviews since its premiere and as the days have gone by and the film has opened to audiences those opinions have drastically changed as the film is now being considered one of the worst films in the entire MCU. As the film’s box office run is running out of fuel, Marvel has announced the streaming date for the film.

Recently we got updates on the extra featurettes that we’ll be getting in the Blu-rays and DVDs. We even got to see the concept art of Grandmaster’s deleted scene and alternate end art concept. However, today we have something different. We have Love and Thunder’s another official deleted scene that stars Chris Pratt’s Star Lord.

Why was the new Deleted Scene Cut from Thor: Love and Thunder?

Thor Love and Thunder Should Eye $1 Billion Box Office to Beat All Thor Movies!

The new deleted scene is basically an alternate version of the scene we got in the film. At the start of Love and Thunder, we saw that Thor has retired on an alien planet (Indigarr) with the Guardians of the Galaxy. However, that planet is under war now and the guardians are struggling to defeat the enemy. In that we see, Peter Quill approaches Thor who is meditating and asks him to join the war and help them. While the scene in the film was much simpler, this looks like the same but with a few added bits.

What’s different in the scene is that Mantis actually touches Thor’s forehead where she sees that he is thinking of all the people he has killed, this was not in the film. The next thing that is different is, Thor resists to join the war and Star Lord has to convince him or rather bribe him into coming. Only when Peter says that a statue of the war’s hero will be built then Thor gets up. The final different thing is, Thor asks Quill and Mantis to hop on the Stormbreaker like triple seat in a scooty.

However, that doesn’t work and Thor decides to walk towards the battleground instead. In the film, the scene was that Thor simply gets up, pulls out the Stormbreaker out from the ground and sits on it. The Stormbreaker actually starts flying and Thor proceeds towards the battleground alone looking like a witch on a broomstick. Honestly, I don’t know why they cut this scene as found it much funnier than what we saw in the film. I only wish they actually showed flying on the Stormbreaker like a witch.
