Thunderbolts marvel movie Update Olga Kurylenko set to return

The Thunderbolts movie from the staple of MCU has an update. Olga Kurylenko who portrayed Taskmaster in the 2021 prequel Black Widow film is set to reprise her role in the film. The greenlit of the film itself is a surprise announcement from Marvel Studios earlier this month and the fans of the comics and MCU were elated.

Marvel’s Thunderbolts Details and Unconfirmed Villains

For those unaware, Thunderbolts were like the DC’s suicide squad, consisting of a team of supervillains assigned to the government’s dirty operations. The plot of the film is currently under wraps. Thunderbolts also shares the same screenwriter, Eric Pearson, who previously worked on Black widow. The new live-action Thunderbolts film is going to be directed by Jake Schreier and Kevin Feige as usual is attached as a producer. The film is still in its initial stages of development.

There are other unconfirmed Thunderbolts villains who can appear in the film. The current assumption is Baron Zemo, Yelena Belova, Ghost, The Abomination, US Agent, and the Winter Soldier along with General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross playing a part in the film. But given the unfortunate passing of actor William Hurt, who previously played Ross, it’s unclear if the character appears in the film or portrayed by a new actor.

Official sources are saying Marvel is planning to set the team based on the existing supervillains in the MCU who were either doing their time in the extremely secured SuperMAX prison or hiding somewhere else and evading the wrath of superheroes. The actors who played these kinda roles in the MCU, sources state the studio is in touch with them and advised to keep an opening in their schedule for next summer, when the film actually begins development.
