If you think that Marvel is ending their disappointing year with a disappointing film, The Marvels, which is reportedly the lowest grossing MCU film ever, then you’d be wrong. Because there is another Marvel TV show waiting to release till the holiday season. Loki season two had an amazing run for the studio just a couple of weeks back and Marvel would only hope that their final show for 2023, What If…? Season Two, would do the same. The first season of the series was a hit with the audiences, as many weird crossovers took place as when we pondered the question what if? The second season has been severely delayed but the wait is not the problem as long as the content is worth it. So, is What If Season 2. Let’s see what the critics have to say.
What If Season 2 First Reviews And Reactions – Finally A Win For Marvel!
Caitlin Tyrrell (Screen Rant) – “Watched 2 episodes of the second season of ‘What If…?’ and it is even stronger than the first! The animation is even smoother and the genre play continues to be fantastic! Nebula has a great arc and Happy Hogan is front and center in an episode perfect for the holiday season!”
Wendy Lee Szany (Nerds of Color) – “Just screened the first 2 eps of ‘What If…?’ Extremely entertaining and intriguing! First ep kicks it off with a dark thriller that follows Nebula and what if she joined the Nova Corp. 2nd ep has a more of a holiday theme that I don’t spoil. Just know it’s a fun one.”
Jazz Tangcay (Variety) – “Just screened the first two episodes of ‘What If…?’ season 2. Marvel Studios animation is awe-inspiring. The holiday special is filled with nods to the season and holiday films. Look out for the ‘Die Hard’ homage. And there’s Laura Karpman’s score. She is having the best year.”
