We’re just ten days into 2024 and so much has happened. Just a few days ago, the Golden Globes took place where Oppenheimer and Poor Things sweeped most of the awards. While this is the awards season, Marvel Studios seems to be getting a lot of attention even if none of its productions is getting any awards. The studio is suddenly in the limelight because of two reasons – one, Echo’s release and the other, The Marvels‘ digital and physical media release announcement. Speaking of the lowest earning Marvel film ever, The Marvels was a huge disappointment to everyone and in my opinion, a complete waste of money and time. However, if you’re still interested in watching the film because I bet you didn’t watch it in theatres based on its box office earnings, then here’s when the Marvel production will stream on Disney+.
We Can Predict The Marvels Streaming Date From Its Physical Media Release Date!
The reason I say that the streaming release date of The Marvels has been is because we know that the film will be available on physical formats like DVD and Blu-ray from February 13th, 2024. In the recent history, all Marvel films have debuted on the streaming platform just a day later its home media release. Let’s take an example of the two other Marvel movies that came out in 2023, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. and Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Following is the list of theatre to streaming windows of recent Marvel movies:
- Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania: 88 days (Theatrical release – February 17th, 2023, Online release date: April 18th, 2023, Physical media release: May 16th, 2023 & Streaming release date: May 17th, 2023)
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: 90 days (Theatrical release – May 5th, 2023, Online release date: July 7th, 2023, Physical media release: August 1st, 2023 & Streaming release date: August 2nd, 2023)
As The Marvels followed similar timelines for its digital (67 days) and home media (95 days) release dates, there is no reason to believe that it won’t continue this Marvel tradition. To conclude, The Marvels will start streaming on Disney+ from February 14th, 2024 – Valentine’s Day.
The Marvels stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, alongside Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Park Seo-joon, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Jackson.
